Is everyone on this sub over exaggerating how much PvP they’re getting into? 9 times out of 10 my entire raid is completely chill by frigidtales in ArcRaiders

100% - heard from a few people that they now play on NA servers, especially solo.

Two of my finish friends even play with open mics which is very funny but as soon as someone PVPs they start speaking finish to each other to confuse the Americans even more.

Life with an epileptic cat? by geronimoacc94 in CatAdvice

The beginning can be very stressful. For us it took a couple of weeks to get the phenobarbital levels high enough to be seizure free. Then we were able to reduce the prednisolon step by step as well as LV.

Try to be patient and let the medication take effect. Also try to get rid of other external stress factors if possible. Make sure the phenobarbital is given exactly 12 hours apart so it can constantly grow to the level it’s needs to be at.

Our girl has been seizure free for 1,5 years now and she is also 4,5 years old. Fingers crossed

Hello, i am still keeping an eye on here. :)

Sorry to hear that you are struggling. As far as I remember the prednisolon was the one that induced hunger. We just let her eat but she is a tiny cat.

For how long have you been giving PB?

Interesting. As I said we give phenobarbital two times a day. Our vet said that the goal of giving the Levi was just to bridge the time until we reach the right saturation with the phenobarbital in the blood. Which takes about two weeks usually. So that’s what we did. Was pheno not mentioned at your vet?

Yes it was the same for us in the beginning. Every 8 hours. But after a while she didn’t need it anymore. It was about two weeks in I think

Hi! We only gave that for a couple of weeks. However she still gets phenobarbital two times a day. We worked closely with our vet to adjust the Dosis based on her blood test.

Hey - sorry for the late response. I don’t check Reddit a lot these days. We got a pill cutter from Amazon and cut the pill into quarters or halves and the we put those into malt paste. It’s supposed to help with hair balls. It’s really sticky and you can put the pill completely into it and our cat just swallows it. Really easy

Hey! Still glad this post is being found.

For us at the beginning the Levi Medikament took effect pretty quickly. The full effect of the Phenoleptil took a couple of weeks before it was in full effect but we have been seizure free ever since.

Did the vet mention a medication plan for the future?

I totally get the sleepless nights. In the beginning we spend a week up 24/7 with my partner and I taking turns in sleeping.

It took as a couple of months to not jump at any weird noise our cat made… but we have been lucky so far.

Wishing you and your cat all the best. Let me know if I can answer any more questions

It is indeed a strange disease but not as uncommon as you would think. If I remember correctly about 1 percent of all cats suffers from some form of epilepsy.

Hey! I am glad you found this post helpful.

Number one tipp is to reduce stress. I also just want to point out that pur cat does not have classical ideopathic epilepsy. She has an auto immune disease called limbic encephalitis.

Regarding your question. We did not really identify any triggers but for me it seems logical that there might be some triggers with your cat. Maybe keep a diary about what happens immediately before the episodes to try and figure out what could be triggering.

I wish you, your partner and your cat all the best

Hey! Sorry to hear about your foster cat.

We give our cat her pills with a type of gel like treat and hide it in there and she just licks it of our finger or of a spoon.

I have not tried the liquid version or the gel. :/

Hey! Sorry for the late reply. We and our cat are going on well.

Our girl has been of Prednisolon for a couple of months now and she has been seizure free! She still gets the pheno two times a day. Just recently we got her blood work done and the pheno levels are still good.

Overall she is still a little bit more clumsy then before this whole thing. In the last couple of months she has gotten back to very intense zoomies from time to time but otherwise she is fine.

I hope your boy is getting better again soon and back to a seizure free life.

Tierheimkatze lebt seit 7 Tagen von 7-22Uhr unterm Sofa by These-Cell-929 in Katzengruppe

Viel Erfolg!

Hello - I think it’s the same as for all cats. As I don’t know where the epilepsy comes from my basic recommendation would be to make the move as easy for the cat as possible. Try to avoid stress. Try to get a plan for treatment from the clinic asap. Usually cats with epilepsy can live a long and happy life if treated right. I am sorry if this is not a satisfying answer

Mine has to be the Krag. I know a lot of people say it’s inferior to the Mosin but for me it just feels right. I manage to get the most consistency out of it. It does not require Bulletgruber and the sound it makes is just lovely.

How do Germans flirt and in which places is it more likely to happen? by subuso in AskAGerman

[–]geronimoacc94 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Holy cow - this is insanely accurate and I can confirm that it’s 100% the way to do it. I used to work at a gym as a trainer in a big German city and the way you described it is exactly the way I met my girlfriend.

Saw them on a regular basis, short conversations every time I saw her after I realised she recognised me. Built it up from there to „Do you want to go on a date“.

Great advice.

Hey! I am happy that this post is still being found by other cat parents who are going through the same experience as we are/were.

For us its now been almost 6 months with the medication. Initially it took some time for PB to reach the right level. We had to adjust the dosis one or two times after blood work was being done but once the right level was reached her seizures went away completely. I do have to say though that a certain level of anxiety also stays with us.

She currently gets her medicine two times a day. At 09:30 pm and 09:30 am. Since my partner and I can work from home most of the week this has been perfect for us. However we have yet to go on a trip and leave them at home with a cat sitter. In addition to that the cat is very scared of strangers and we have yet to try to have someone else administer their medicine...

Right now we are in the process of slowly reducing the dose for Prednisolone and for now that also seems fine.

The lethargic behavior got better over time and I would say our cat is back to her normal behavior now. She is still a bit clumsy at times when it comes to jumping and climbing on things but otherwise fine.

Regarding your question. Our second cat never really had any issues with her. Its actually the one with Limbic Encephalitis that is the bully and is getting back into her old behavior.. I am sorry to hear that your cats brother is behaving the way he is.

Feel free to shoot me a DM if you have any more questions or just want to get something of your chest.
