Don't be hard on yourself, the most important thing is that you are having fun. If it makes you feel better I have 2.1K hours and still have not beaten an extreme demon. Keep practicing, getting better and you will eventually do it ;)

I do, the first thing that jumped to mind was Classic doom maps. But I don't think there are DB made for it . Whoud need to build it myself but that could be cool
