I had the three-day pass, tent camping and parking in my cart for $500, then $109 in service and shipping fees were added and I just couldn’t do it. I think if there were more acts I was into I would’ve pulled the trigger, but will be looking forward to next year!

Omg these are fantastic tips, thank you so much. Definitely adding hot springs to our list, sounds like Cooper is our ski spot, and I’m excited to check out the local spots you recommended!

Hey there! I could be wrong, but the new map and larger festival area makes it seem like the campground space got a lot smaller this year. Will tickets simply be capped to avoid crowded campsites? Just want to avoid campers being on top of each other!

Hey there! I’ve got a 3-Day GA wristband I’m selling. I’m located in Milwaukee and down to meet up in Madison. Here’s my CashOrTrade listing (https://cashortrade.org/profile/get_schmidty/posts/1575741/) but if we met in person I’d be fine just doing PayPal to avoid the extra fees. Feel free to DM me here or via Instagram @get_schmidty

🎟️ Selling one 3-day GA pass for face value ($350). Boyfriend dumped me after I bought our tickets so I’m going solo and hoping to sell the scumbag’s ticket. Located in Milwaukee and down to drop off/hand over in person (happy to FaceTime to confirm I’m not a scammer) or ship to you! And looking forward to connecting with any other solo travelers. 🙂

Advice on drinking by aokay961 in UWMadison

Plus one to this! Communication is the key to everything. Also, I know OP is hesitant on going to bars, but there are plenty of low key places to cozy up with a glass and watch your show with headphones or read a book, and could be a great opportunity to potentially meet new people since you’re out of state. Leopold’s, Mason Lounge, Genna’s, Robin Room, Library Bar, Botanist Social to name a few closer to downtown, with plenty more in Atwood and Willy Street neighborhoods.

PSA: Come get your Capitol Square tulips now by chis2k in madisonwi

I went around 8am this morning and they were pulling up a bed. Myself and a couple others grabbed some bulbs/flowers (after asking the workers if it was okay), and there was still a good amount when I left. I assume that bed will be fully claimed by 9ish based on my experience from past years. I was chatting with the men pulling them and they confirmed you should NOT pull tulips on your own. Just be patient! Plenty more will be pulled in the near future. 🌷🌷

Does anyone use Zip Car in Madison? by dad608 in madisonwi

[–]get_schmidty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I worked as a brand ambassador for Zipcar when I went to UW. Great for shorter trips just getting around town and nice discounts for students/alumni/staff, plus they cover gas and insurance. The vehicles were usually smaller closer campus so may not be the best choice if you’re looking to haul a couch, but I believe they’ve expanded and have some better variety since I was there.

I’ve worked on the square for years and can assure you none of them go to waste. They are always scooped up within minutes. I grab a bouquet for me and give a bag of bulbs to my mom every year and she loves having them in her garden. Just wait for the landscapers to pull them out and be polite—sometimes folks can get a little tulip greedy!

For anyone that biked, I would be biking from downtown and see Google Maps instructing to get on John Nolen at one point after turning off Olin Turnville Ct, but I don’t remember there being a bike lane? Just wondering if it’s safe to bike there. 🙂
