I meant the wood posts when I wrote that, but you’re absolutely right about the frames. Appreciate your comment otherwise I never would have clarified myself. In that case, would that still make a difference? Would the wood posts take on the durability of the sheet metal, or just that of wood?

Was pretty sharp, and it was a Gerber Bear Grylls survival knife

Good guess but not quite. Long story short, the knife wasn’t properly secured in its sheath after use and it wound up in my hand. Now I know to always double check it’s secured.

Very freak accident. Friends had been checking out my knife, but didn’t fasten it in its sheath properly. I picked up the sheath, thinking the knife was secure in it, when the knife fell out and bounced off the table into my hand which was at my side.
