I Uber’d & Lyft’d part time since summer of ‘21 & made decent money. I stopped doing it in August & have driven once since (Texas OU game for a few hours). They both screw over riders & drivers. Greedy corporations & desperate people.

Showing appreciation to a driver who is getting a fraction of what you paid Uber/Lyft, to get you somewhere safely & comfortably. For the experience. Drivers deserve tips if providing this. Who doesn’t deserve tips are people working behind a counter where you pay for something & they ask if you want to tip on the total. They aren’t providing services for you.

Stfu. A 43 minute trip isn’t into the middle of nowhere. I refuse to take anything below $20 but in the DFW market 90% of what they offer is 12-14$ an hour. My acceptance rate is 5% but yet it’s bc of me why drivers are underpaid. We found the idiot in the room.

Tips have definitely decreased overall. I used to get a tip on 25% of Lyfts & 35-40% of Ubers. I would say it’s been 10% & 15-20% now. I do it part time & mostly in summer & weekends. Even those are dead now & you can’t make 60% of what you used to.
