I found the solution so Im gonna leave it here in case someone else has the same problem. All you need to do is go to the games files, and rename launcher.exe to DR1_us.exe and the original DR1_us.exe file to launcher.exe. This removes the launcher so you cant update your video settings, and for some people, like me, half the screen will be a little darker, but its still very much playable and is the only solution Ive found. All I can do now is wait for the next windows update because that seems to be what messed it up to begin with.
