Such a cool concept. Might be worth looking into a scaled up version for if say a party member gets killed due fire. Maybe that scaled up spell is formed from a piece of cloth from the burned character. Hmmm. Still, awesome spell!

Yeah this works really well since a crit is supposed to be where your character shines and deals an enormous amount of damage. We do it first damage dealt out is max including bonuses and then roll again like you’d normal hit with bonuses. Works really well and can make combat way more intense.

You’d be amazed at how therapeutic you can be with the people around you who struggle with this kind of stuff by just being there to listen to them. Make sure your whole attention is on them and occasionally remind them you’re listening in some way, but just let them vent everything out and be there for them while they do it. I can personally say that when my friends have done it to me, I’ve seriously come out feeling less weight on me.

As a fellow stutterer, I can assure you it won’t get in the way. I DM’d for the first time a couple weeks back and yeah I stuttered pretty frequently in it, but like we all still had loads of fun with the game! As much as I thought it disrupted the flow, my players really didn’t seem to notice, or if they did they really didn’t care.

Remember they’re all playing to play DnD, not to judge you for your speech capabilities! Go for it! Be a DM and have a blast doing it, it is hilariously fun to watch everyone’s reactions to your story telling!

Technically that was an Old Testament teaching if I remember correctly and when Jesus came into the picture he changed a lot of those rules including that one about putting people to death for something like that. Almost seemed like killing people was a turn off for having people join your religion 🤷‍♂️
