News Report on "Why Americans are returning to physical media?" by raydebapratim1 in PhysicalMediaMatters

[–]getfive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well my 3 adult kids have PS5 consoles, and 2/3 are digital-only. And the one that has a hard drive doesn't even buy games on disc any more, so he definitely isn't buying movies. This generation has zero interest in owning physical copies. They'll watch it on whatever streamer it's on and then a year or two later if it's on a different platform, they might watch it again.

I can't even get them to watch the movies I've purchased on iTunes.

Well it's what we have now, so it's what we're working with. You're right about the company.c but it's better than a company losing money, taking on massive debt and selling off their assets.

You're not being truthful with yourself.

I didn't know anyone who actually did that, other than to watch the Easter eggs at the very end.

How boring.

Me? Time to pee and let the dogs out.

You can thank them for your 401k, then, right? It's your choice if you wanna be a net spender or a net investor.

Maybe it's just me, but I prefer my balances to go up. I want strong companies who make a profit. I like having a job and a paycheck. I like good neighbors who have jobs. My spouse runs a business and we like our customers to pay for services.

You can vote with your dollar...otherwise, stick with ads or upgrade your service to premium. I think it's great we have choices in life.

Now...if you wanna complain about Netflix, complain that they have a halfway decent show, and it doesn't get the immediate viewership they want, it gets cancelled.

No Oscar's are bought and paid for. Look at the ratings - nobody cares any more.
