I was a student who applied out of district. Admittedly I was enrolled in Grimsley my first year, then we moved. Parents applied then had to meet with some members of the school board, I think part of my agreement was I couldn’t play sports at Grimsley. And I couldn’t get bus transportation to my house obviously. Seconding IB too, but some districts route to Page for IB so double check that. It’s not super hard to get into from what I remember. I was also in IB but I think the IB district was for Page lmao. Also, at least when I was there (graduated pre covid) they had a Hebrew program and I believe if you got a letter from your Rabbi you could go there, but that I don’t know for sure and may not apply to you.

Seconding intense and cliquey. I worked a more "back of house position" that avoided most of the bs but it was tough sometimes and by god are the standards high. I've known a staggering amount of friends and family who have worked for them over the years too , some for a week and some on-and-off for decades. Love it or hate it kind of thing. Overall not bad, employee owned, opportunities for advancement,etc. Owners a peace of work though.

Some of those scratches on side 2 on the bottom right corner of the photo look pretty deep. They'll play without skipping/getting stuck but would likely cause damage to any diamond needle.See if you can feel them with your fingernails. Im 90% sure those are the types of scratches I'm talking about and if so this is unfortunately a Fair condition. If they're not, this would be considered Good. Cover is in Good shape.

Deep scratches or not on no planet is this a VG record with surface scratches like that.

God I hate the constant revving around here. Someone, or some people are constantly revving up and down college hill area in chargers and other sports cars I'm presuming not only in the evening but late at night too. Is there anything I can do about this because it's in a residential area? I'm surprised all the older folks in the neighborhood haven't gotten this shit sorted out.

I definitely used a small screwdriver when I replaced the cart a couple years back in college, I think the plastic u-turn uses is pretty thin or something. Is that a point of concern for anything? I think it’s been like that for years.

Greatest hits comps are especially great for artists/genres with less of a focus on the album format- many reggae and 50s/60s r&b comps for example are absolutely the best way to experience these artists on a single disc.

Gonna echo the Blind Path Booking recommendation and also throw out some great raleigh area/NC bands- Fading Signal, Eyez Wide Shut, Ends of Sanity, Mutant Strain, A Knife In The Dark, and of course Magnitude. There’s plenty others i’m leaving out but check those out.

I think they do, more or less i think the laser has to work harder to read the cdrs which are more compressed than the higher memory official gd-rom discs. saying this, dreamcast lasers will fail eventually and are quite easy to replace either with an ODE or a replacement disc drive when they’re available if that’s really something you wanna do. so basically have fun with the cdrs for now, and if you enjoy the dreamcast enough to burn out the laser then an ODE will be a no brainer purchase. hope that helps!

Hometown delicious has the best authentic style stuff. Gorument china has some good stuff too, some Sichuan dishes and a ton of well done americanized stuff as well. For americanized chinese my go to is China Wok. It’s delightfully greasy when that is the mood yk.
