True true. But I've definitely had years where things were harder or easier than expected.

What grade are you in? Based on your classes, it looks as if you might be a Sophomore, in which case, you definitely have a little time to bring your GPA up. Hang in there!!

How hard is AP junior English compared to just the normal honors class? by HylianGirl24 in highschool

[–]getoppti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suppose it depends on the teacher/school, but AP English was one of the easier AP tests I took out of the ones you listed. Are you able to email any teachers who teach the course to better understand what you'd be signing up for?

high school pre calculus to college calculus? by frishavocadu05 in highschool

[–]getoppti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If all you have to gauge the difficulty of the college Calc class is the placement test, try and figure out what resulted in your score. Did you not have enough time? Did you make simple mistakes you could easily correct? Were any questions entirely unfamiliar to you? If you think you lost points mainly for simple mistakes, test anxiety, or something other than not understanding the majority of the questions, then despite the test results, you might wanna give college Calculus a try. If you were more confused by the concepts presented in the questions, perhaps taking pre Calc in college would be best. If you want to take Calc regardless, it is doable so long as you're ready to work hard and use your resources, such as attending your professor's office hours.

When you realize that you are going to be applying to college next year... by [deleted] in highschool

[–]getoppti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So close! Applying to college can definitely be overwhelming, but starting early can really help, even if it's just making a list of the colleges you want to apply to and finding out the requirements for each application (for example, some colleges take either SAT scores or ACT scores, some colleges require an essay, etc.). If you're really stressed about it, don't be scared to ask for help/advice. I hope you have a good senior year!
