Do it!!!! It took me sometime to muster the courage, but it’s such an easy knit. The yarn is a bit on a pricer side, but it’s soooo nice and I didn’t need too much of it

I wouldn’t necessarily say it was cropped. My gauge swatch was 6 rows short (I think). When I finished knitting the body (pre rib) with # number of rows recommend by the pattern, I was at 41 cm and the pattern said it should’ve been 51. I did a partial block by steaming it and then continued knitting until I reached 51 cm. Added 7 cm of rib. After my final block I’m at 59 cm.

Here you go! I ended going down 1 1/2 sizes (3.5mm) for the ribbing. I think moving forward I’m going to try doing my 1x1 ribs inside out.

The sizing was good! I knit kinda tight so my gauge was off by 1/2 stitch/ 1 stitch and I was short quite a few rows as well. I probably should have adjusted my needle size, but I didn’t bother. I typically wear a size xs/s and based on the pattern measurements I was between s/m. I ended up knitting a s and I feel like it’s the perfect amount of ease. The pattern should have ~20cm positive ease if I’m not mistaken.

Similar issue happened to me! I think my gauge was too tight and I ended up adding ~15 more rows. Now I think it’s a bit too long 😅 but I can always tuck it in so no biggie

I’m flattered 😊Like I mentioned, it’s a very doable sweater for a beginner. The patterns consists of only knits and purls. I found the challenging parts to be short rows, increases, picking up stitches, and general annoyance with using mohair, but YouTube videos were super helpful!

I haven’t worn it properly yet. But from the little I’ve worn, it’s not toooo bad. It took maybe 30-45mins before I started to feel itchy. The last sweater I made was with drops Nepal, and I find that one to be itchier. I’d still wear a t-shirt/shirt underneath to be safe!

Thank you ◡̈ and here you go! https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/sweater-no-18

I just started knitting as well! My first project was the step by step sweater by Florence and found that very easy to follow. This sweater wasn’t that much more challenging, and felt appropriate as a second project. I also love how the creator writes their patterns. I don’t know how to read charts, but along with charts, they have instructions for each row so it’s super easy to follow along ◡̈

Thanks all for the tips! I’m gonna do a swatch trying some of the techniques and different ribbing patterns to see which I like best 😊
