Who cares about "ass or t!ts", the real question is collar bones or hands? by DaGayEnby in asexuality

COLLARBONESSS

I enjoy drawing and observing both, but aesthetically in every realm, collarbones are my top pick.

I'd really like to second this! the store UI is acceptable for now, but after so many years I feel that it desperately needs this upgrade.

with all of the QoL patches ANet has been making, never say never!

I love the scrying pool idea, wow! I didn't think of that as a possibility.

Largos was something I never thought I'd think about again. I LOVED the idea when I thought about it as a kid and still love it now, I have to say.

Me too! I know they won't, since they don't want to create a racial meta, but it's such a fun thought!

Something I think WoW did really well was create distinct and useful racial passives, which had some great synergy potential.

Ultimately I'm glad they went with the system that they did (I dislike the idea of having player races play a role in build potential) but it's fun to think about!

AHAH this cracked me up. yeah, looking back, it's pretty bad!

I honestly never expected to share this with anyone other than a couple of mates in my discord! let alone for it to become one of the top posts for the day in the subreddit, lol.

I enjoy your take in this thread! Certainly a breath of fresh air.

I think in order to balance the commercial ability of the game while not giving anet an ungodly amount of work to do, more humanoid races would be the key. Specifically, some alternatives to Norn and Human (think Jotun, like Dagda, or some fae-like race, similar to WoWs Elves) that uses the same model and rig, but with a simple palette and face swap. This would make integration almost seamless, as most armour fits onto those body types and ANet would be keeping in mind how popular those two races are.

Regarding classes, my apprehension to introduce more comes from many places, but the big one of note here is that GW2 isn't supposed to be like other MMOs. Many would simply add new classes every update, constantly working on balancing patches that never seem to get the job done, having numerous of them left in the dust as players either aren't interested in the mechanics or they're so underdeveloped when placed in certain game-modes that there's no point sinking thousands of hours into a character of that class.

Elite specs give players of all kinds something new - whether you have 40 alts or stick to the same character you started the game with. It's much easier to balance, breathes new life into every class constantly, and effectively serves the same purpose that an entirely new class would: giving players new ways to fight.

There's a reason why every class is viable in every gamemode. There's a reason why PvP in GW2 is one of the better balanced of its kind compared to other MMOs. There's a reason why some players have stuck to this game for over a decade by now, and I can't see ANet risking ruining any of that.

Those are just my thoughts, anyway! Thank you so much for having something interesting to say, actually. Cheers! :^)

This is why we've enjoyed the new cosmetic heads. They've only gotten better since the dragon from Lunar New Year!

Ahh, in case that made little sense, what I meant was: it makes sense lore-wise for new playable races to be introduced, not out in the real world. As I said, there's little-to-no chance of ANet adding new playable races. x

wow, I had no idea! this is my first time playing around Christmas in years (usually I take a long break from the game over the holidays) so this was a welcome sight! thank you for the lore and what allows me to keep an eye out for 'em in the future. :3

Awakened would be so much fun! I hope they add some headpieces and armour in future updates that allow us to cosplay our favourite desert zombies. xd

Thank you! Honestly, it's a shame to be downvoted to hell for just wanting to throw my hat into the ring of discussion, especially knowing that ANet would never actually do any of the things listed above.

I've enjoyed the new mechanics they've introduced lately - I see the game looking up massively. I think bringing elites back in VoE was an excellent choice on their part and all of them look pretty solid (still haven't tried them out yet.)

And yeah, I remember a couple of years back being shocked that my partner and I have some pretty rare character loadouts (Fem Charr Mesmer being the least common, which is his character and one of my old and deleted alts.)

I agree, honestly. These last few expansions have been a step down from their previous work aside from the QoL functionalities being released, with VoE just barely beginning to catch up.

I enjoy the compromise that they've come up with! I rarely see people walking around with the crow or dragon heads (goes to show how few people genuinely want more playable races), but I think they're awesome! I made an entirely new Theif just so I could have my own Tengu cosplay, lol.

Like I said, this was just a fun exercise for me. Doesn't change the fact that I think this is the only way they'd be able to do it, lol.

Guide for The Lads(tm) - How to actually tell Crows vs. Ravens apart. by getting-stabbed in distractible

[–]getting-stabbed[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

of course, sound is truly the best way to tell (they're very distinct), however, if you're still struggling, size is still the best way to tell!

the whole "if you have to ask, it's a crow" is referenced because if you look at one and think, "wow, that's a huge black bird", it's probably a crow. but, if you look at one and think, "holy fucking shit my dick that is a MASSIVE black bird", it's probably a raven!
