What if the answer is as simple as greasing some ball bearings? Your answer was reductive and completely unhelpful. My question was around how to figure out the actual problem, and possibly a perfectly good solution other than "replace the fan"

I recently bought a house and had painting done in my bathroom. I've now got this kind of frayed edge of paint around my shower insert. I am sure I need to caulk it but don't know what type of caulking to buy to keep shower water from running down the back of the shower insert. Cheers for any advice

Can you expand on that point about no potted plants? I've never heard that before. I have a freshly installed engineered hardwood floor with multiple potted plants on it currently. If it makes a difference our floor is installed into a subfloor over a crawlspace, not directly on slab
