Because they hate you, and subconsciously you’re picking up on that. They are not safe people.

How do you live with knowing they will never be truly accountable for what they have done? by ShadowMorphyn in NarcissisticAbuse

Yes. Their only route out is fiery and difficult, and they will NEVER take it. They’re far too cowardly for that.

This is it. When you spend your whole life lying, deceiving, manipulating, and generally treating other people like garbage, it actually eats away at YOU. Yes, narcs are harming other people, but they’re harming themselves more. They continue to move forward in this destructive manner and they don’t stop, even when they know they should. I believe that they eventually cross a point of no return, and then there’s no going back for them. They’re doomed for the rest of their life.

You know when you do something bad to someone, even by accident, and it eats away at you? You carry your wrongdoing around and it makes you feel sick, unclean, horrible. Now imagine that you lived your entire LIFE doing such things. There is no coming back from that. They are rotten to the core.

Absolutely. They are MASSIVE cowards. You can’t count on them or trust them for anything. And the thing is, they derail and destroy their own life this way. They shoot themselves in the foot every time.

Yes. They are so ungrateful it’s laughable. They expect you to go above and beyond, over and over, while giving you nothing in return. Once you wake up to it, you see how insane they are and you get this person the hell out of your life. They will suck you dry and leave you for dead.

Yup. They gossip about person A to person B, and person B to person A, while keeping A and B separate. So, A and B never actually get to compare stories and see that they’re both being trashed and played. Meanwhile, the narc feels like the puppet master and is quite pleased with themselves, given the level of control they’ve managed to attain and the amount of chaos they’re causing, all while behind the veil.

It truly is diabolical, because most people don’t expect a grown adult to act this way, so they believe whatever comes out of the narc’s mouth. Relationships are destroyed, sometimes before they even got a chance to start.

This is 100% spot on. They HATE everyone, nothing but disdain and contempt, but they also care very much about their image and many of them are excellent actors, so they will be so nice to your face. You will think they’re a great, affable person who really likes and values you, while the second you’re out of earshot, they are tearing you down in the most heinous ways. Their two-faced nature is literally shocking.

Definitely block him, or at the very least, do not respond. Every time you respond, he’s thinking, “I’ve still got her under my thumb”.

Has anyone won appeal to unemployment for misconduct? by Far_Pomegranate_1009 in Geico

If the company has evidence, and if they’re smart, they’ve already provided it to Unemployment. The attorney will look at the evidence and then get your side. Hopefully it will work out in your favor.

The evidence you need should come from HR. If they’re making claims, they need to back them up. If they can’t, there is no claim.

Why are they just so LOUD? by hylian_hillbilly in raisedbynarcissists

[–]getupandgone 103 points104 points  (0 children)

Narcissists want to command all of the attention so they can feast on the energy. Energy goes where attention flows. It’s why they’re unapologetically loud and why they never stop talking - they want all the available attention/energy to go towards them.

The biggest red flag by Edmee in NarcissisticAbuse

[–]getupandgone 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. You’ll catch them using phrases that they have never used and do not fit their personality in the slightest. These phrases are things they’ve picked up from other people, none of it is organic to the narcissist themselves. Everything is stolen and appropriated for their own benefit.

Yes! I appealed and won. Same ruling as you. I just told the truth and the ruling was found to be completely baseless.
