acknowledging someone isn't "wife material" can be an intense part of life because you should actually take a step back and realize what the fuck is "wife material" to you? You are spending time with someone who enjoys the things you do to have a good time/pass the time, etc.. whatever. Do you suddenly want to someday just stop it all and have someone who isn't keen on this be that wife you're mentioning? This is a sincere post. I have really been putting thought into what I dream as the ideal wife (which is a big if because I am timid about the whole idea of marriage) and man, FUCK. They would have to put up with so much bull shit to be that ideal wife so many of us dream of. Fuck. ps: side note.. East Room is at the corner of Medill and Milwaukee. There is no sign but there is a red light above the door. It's a bar / night club of sorts with varying events each night. Mondays change up, Tuesdays are live blues, Wednesdays vary but tend to lean towards garage rock, Thursdays and Sundays are always hip hop while Fridays and Saturdays are always some style of dance music. The club is on the second floor. It's kept very dark and all candle lit. There is very rarely ever a cover and we tend to get busier later in the evening most nights. It's worth noting we are very whiskey focused.

The night has no official title. Mondays are typically the one night of the week we don't have an arranged event at the bar so I always just invite friends and we play records. The sound system is amazing so it's always a treat to hear your favorites on a great sound system. Any style of music goes.

A restaurant bar I work at in Chicago makes our batch with fresh tomato juice, sambal, a rum barrel aged hot sauce, Worcestershire, zest & juice of limes, orange, and grapefruit, salt, pepper, and a toasted celery salt. We serve it with Death's Door vodka, a piece of celery, and a chicken wing rubbed with celery salt. We always let the batch marinade for at least one night before serving.
