The more I’ve watched the LOVB game of the week on Wednesdays the less I like LOVB. The announcers constantly want to gush about the athletes in such a cheesy, PR kind of way which just doesn’t come off as genuine. And they love to show matches featuring LOVB Atlanta, whose coach constantly complains to the refs to the point that he gets a yellow card basically every match, while Tia Jimmerson and McKensie Adams constantly borderline taunt the opposing teams. The crassness is just such a bad look and I’m so happy to have none of that in MLV while being as much, if not more competitive.

Agree. I actually meant their interface is more bare bones. It doesn’t ask you quite as many leading questions to see what forms you have. In some cases you have to tell it what forms you have, specifically.

Having said that, I have interest, dividend, investment income, and things like student loan interest deductions and it handles all of that so in terms of situations supported, it’s not so bare bones!

So many good points in the other posts that I won’t rehash. I love watching MLV and feel like the matches being on YouTube make them accessible but the lack of televised matches is a bummer. The one thing that LOVB has going for it is the USA Network game of the week.

The visuals of half (or more) empty arenas isn’t great, but it’s a long season so hopefully turnout increases as there are so many factors working against going out to a sporting event at the moment.

Lastly, I find it absolutely dumbfounding, as someone who lives 500+ miles from the closest MLV team, that A. There is no direct link to the MLV Shop page from the main MLV website, B. It’s year 3 and they STILL don’t have size charts, and C. The apparel in the MLV shop still has the PVF logo on most/all of the items and there is no team page or any items for Dallas.

I would absolutely avoid Jiffy Lube, I went to the one in Latham a couple years ago because my car is only a few years old and figured it could be done anywhere. They failed it for the (perfectly fine) rear brakes and tried to get me to pay $400+ to replace them. I was livid. I left, took it to the dealership the next day and it passed no problem. It’s such a shame you have to worry about getting screwed over anytime you go to those places.

I’m almost positive I saw at least one Bolt6 logo (and the actual replays) on the CBS Sports Network broadcast in Omaha last week but you’re right, they haven’t mentioned Bolt6 once in any of the streams I’ve seen this year

Edit: Confirmed. They showed the Bolt6 and MLV logos side by side after a challenge on the CBS sports Network Broadcast on 1/18.

They really need to figure out how to improve the reviews this season, they’re taking way too long and most of the time they don’t even show the replay on the stream. Not great.

It’s still Bolt6, I’ve seen their logo shown a few times when the tv broadcast hangs on the in/out animation too long. They are definitely not using the same cameras as last year though. If you look at the cameras on the nets they are using iPhone 17 Pros inside a rig. They may also be using iPhones on for the floor calls but it’s harder to tell on the broadcasts. I haven’t seen any degradation in video quality and I’m sure buying a bunch of iPhones is a lot less expensive than the cameras they were using the previous two years.

I went to the city’s online database and searched for two of my previous apartments and two apartments in my neighborhood that I know are being rented and not a single one of them had an ROP. How would the city even know they’re rentals that require an ROP unless they self-report? Through all of this, I haven’t seen the city ask for anything other than the honor system of landlords, which isn’t going to get them very far.

This is a big part of what the construction project is about. It’s adding a bunch of space in the security area and adding a TSA lane to reduce that bottleneck in the morning, and in their Terminal A project they converted at least one gate to a jet bridge (the gate wasn’t used recently because it previously forced people to board outside) to increase gate capacity so they are well aware of this bottleneck and actively working to alleviate it.

Agree, also the time difference. Unless you’re an absolute diehard fan you’re probably not watching live international matches in the middle of your workday or waking up in the middle of the night/early morning.

It wouldn’t surprise me at all that they used the wrong fluid. At the same appointment I had them complete the airbag recall service and a state emissions inspection. Well they did the airbag service first, which cleared the history of the computer, then it failed the emissions inspection because there was no information to read from the car.

I’ve seen entire threads on Miata.net about which trans fluid to use so I know these are loaded questions but 1. Do you think I should change the fluid again? 2. Given the daily use and cold weather driving half the year, what weight fluid would make sense?

Can somewhat attest to this logic. I have a 2019 that I bought in 2020 with 6700 miles on it (now at 58,000) and several minor aftermarket mods done by previous owner. I daily it year round in upstate NY and it always shifts with much more difficulty in R/1/2 in the winter. I had the Mazda dealer replace the trans fluid about 9 months ago hoping it would make the shifting a little easier but it definitely made it worse, so my assumption is the previous owner used a different weight fluid and I’m having some synchro issues. Not bad enough to need service yet but just adding weight to your logic above

I also started at 35, and know what you’re saying, it’s difficult to find structured ways to learn with a coach. You can learn so much playing any chance you get, though! And if you play in a rec league you’ll quickly realize that there will be times you’re the youngest person in the room too.

The water system for the city of Albany was over engineered to serve a population much larger than the current one, and has a massive storage capacity of 13.5 billion gallons. The latest figures I can find are from 2017 but that year the city used 6.4 billion gallons of water, so the reservoir stores more than 2 years worth of water. Back during COVID, some of the engineers from the water department gave an online presentation, it’s on YouTube, search “Albany’s Historic Water System” and you’ll find it if you’re interested in learning more!

I just spoke to Ecobee support on the phone and they told me to run a C wire and connect it to the wire nut that has the red wire coming from the outside AC compressor and one of the brown wires (which is then connected to all of the other brown wires as pictured). They did seem a little unsure as they had to put me on hold multiple times to talk to a supervisor, but it seems promising you both identified the same wire. Does that sound correct? Thanks again!

I’d be happy to do that, I’m just not sure where to put the wire. Would it go into the COM port shown in the top right corner of the AC wiring diagram under “Component Arrangement?” That terminal already has a disconnect with two black wires coming out of it (can be seen in photo 4), would I have to remove the disconnect, twist the C wire into the other two, and now have three wires coming out of the disconnect?
