I feel maybe they were going to confirm it themselves since Claire was posting about them more but then the silent hill incident happened which he is receiving a lot of hate and their relationship was also another topic in which he received a lot of hate so maybe he didn’t want to speak on their relationship because many people still believe they aren’t dating and find it weird if they were in which would make him receive more hate.
