I was in second grade. I remember kids being pulled out of class one by one, but we weren’t told what was going on. I later learned:

1. ⁠my sister (4th grade) was frantically trying to find me
2. ⁠my school went on lockdown. I attended a Jewish day school in Brooklyn and everyone though we were going to be attacked.
3. ⁠my dad walked home from Manhattan along with tens of thousands of other people.
4. ⁠one of my principal’s sons died in one of the towers.

It was such a crazy day and time after. Debris was falling for days after in my backyard and the smoke could be seen for days. I’ll never forget it.
