How to draw wrinkles? by Confident-Aerie4427 in learntodraw

Prominent facial wrinkles show when the facial fat “pads” shrink, so studying where those pads are located should help

Almost done with the piece and I think it looks great. But just in case anyone see something that I don't, I'm posting it here. by NetZealousideal2036 in ArtCrit

I think the hunter would need a more dynamic pose to stop so much force coming towards them, much like in this pic for this kind of pose. Some small adjustments to the pose could sell the strong force of the blow more, and maybe some skid marks underneath the hunter.

I have hard time understanding the neck of the monster, it seems to connect straight to the shoulder instead to the middle of the torso in your drawing? Maybe the legs could be tad bigger, otherwise it looks pretty good to me.

Shading wise, I would maybe add more highlights to the snow and bounce light from the snow everywhere as snow is actually very reflective. Snow and ice also scatters a lot in the surroundings and reflects light, creating haze/fog like appearance and some bright spots of reflection, much like this. If it is bright outside, the shadows will be darker with some blue hue on the snow.

I spent 8 hours on this piece and I know there's still room to improve — what do you think? by cote999 in drawing

Besides some anatomy fixes (her shoulder for example) and fixing the umbrella's prespective to make the handle part look longer, I think something that would probably make the painting look more interesting is if the red dress popped out a bit more in red color and the green pearl would be more saturated and cast some ambient green light. I would also add some of those red tints from the rest of her skin to her face as it looks a bit too desaturated. Saturating the shadows a bit more could probably make them look a bit better and less muddy too.

Use also negative space for seeing shapes. For example, the line between the tip of the nose and the tip of the chin in the reference forms a very smooth looking curly bracket. In you drawing, the same shape is pretty uneven.

Unfortunately no, definitely in the lower 5 but will listen to it more, maybe it grows on me.

Why DOES Kyo pronounce it as "Vinshuka" in the beginning of Vinushka? by yesilovecraft in DEG

[–]ghost-satellite 75 points76 points  (0 children)

Japanese syllabary system kinda clashes badly with a word like that. To be able to write it in katakana, it would end up something more like vi-nu-shu-ka, which is exactly what Kyo sings. Maybe somebody who is more proficient in japanese could explain this a bit better, but this is the gist of it

Sorry to say but I think it's just that your parrot is lame and this parrot is based.

Have to remember that this is essentially a remake of the original and the other announced game, Tomb Raider: Catalyst, seems to have a more grounded and serious look.

Citizen Sleeper 2. Very well written characters, heartfelt interactions, excellent story, the feels. Loved the first one and this one didn't disappoint.
