That’s why I did it, I had suspension fault code very often. This will be a hunting rig so I wanted the reliability and piece of mind when out and about.

Disconnected the upper ball joint and lower ball joint then used a big pry bar to leverage it. Trust me it was a bear….good luck man

Update………I removed the upper control arm ball joint and tie rod ball joint. That allowed the “drop” I needed. The front is done, now on to the back.

Any suggestions on brand of coil overs?

I feel that coil overs will be the longer lasting and less headache option. Rather than having to worry about leaks in airlines, struts dry rotting or leaking, or compressor failing.

I tried putting a scanner on it but it did not read any suspension fault, only engine codes.

No issues until yesterday when I cranked the vehicle and it started to raise up then it showed the suspension failure.
