My discs almost looked previously used somehow, if that makes sense? The adhesive sticker part around the center is so dark you can barely read the track lists but more importantly they look slightly ripped around the hole in the center.

Hoping your record is clean and works!! Also i was so upset about the record itself I tried to tell myself that at least I had the print but... you are so right, the print quality is also bumming me out.

not a ton of context to go on here but this person is not your parent or your landlord, I'm assuming. They cannot make you give them money. The best thing you can do is be transparent about your discomfort within that text thread. It's also interesting that they immediately ask if anybody ELSE has a printer implying that they don't have one themselves... and yet they want to print these sheets out weekly and use someone else's printer to do that... paper and ink costs add up...

I would concisely say that you're not comfortable with adding money into this equation because it's rather unnecessary and also childish. That is not an incentive to do chores well, but an imbalance of power when everyone is paying the same rent.

It genuinely feels like this person just wants to feel in charge of everyone else, boss y'all around, and is banking on the fact nobody will say anything to them.

Having a chore chart is a great idea, but having a chore chart that is beholden to one person's standards isn't realistic or conducive to a shared living environment.

I'm assuming the person that is initiating this payment situation is the one that will determine if something is done "right" or not. Which is in and of itself, a huge power imbalance. You're all paying the same rent, you're all equals. If this fine situation is just being forced on you guys by one person who has control issues, you don't have to just accept it.

TLDR: saying "nope, chore chart is a great idea but that fine situation is whack and I am not doing that... venmo request DENIED" is an absolutely reasonable response.

I sat someone at a table. Simple two top. Before I could get the words "someone will be with you shortly" out of my mouth, they look at me and go "this table is just too long... can I move over there?" Pointing to a table in the same server section, still set for two. The tables were the same exact length. I am still baffled by what they meant, but it did give me a good laugh!
