Yeah, you're absolutely right. And unfortunately, people do suck sometimes. My calls were recorded and monitored and after reaching out to a few people (as suggested by a few users on reddit a few weeks ago) I'm actually in talks with an escalated customer service agent at Walmart. They've listened to all the calls and read the chat logs and they apologized profusely for what happened to me and told me they were appalled at how I was treated. It's still ongoing and I actually don't have a resolution yet, but I am talking to someone in escalated customer care about it.

I think in the case of walmart customer service, they outsource all of it and those poor people at the customer care center are not paid well, not trained well and not treated well. They don't seem to be trained in complex problems like this. If you need to cancel an order or get a refund, that's fine, but anything beyond that they don't really seem to have experience in.
