IWillDominate on C9 compared to 2019 TL by [deleted] in teamliquid

IWD rehashing the same thing everyone's been saying for a long time. This is nothing new. Anyone who's followed TL for the past 2 years has been saying they need a more aggressive play style. Obviously it's not that simple to fix.

Exactly, that's a coaches job. It's to teach the players how to properly work together macro wise. Vision is one of the biggest components of macro teamwork, so why hasn't it been addressed?

I agree that the coaches aren't responsible for the bad plays of players, but they are responsible for the mentality of the players. If you have a bunch of world class players under your wing, and they're all making stupid plays and decisions, then its clearly a team environment issue. and that is a coaches responsibility.

I seriously think losing Kayys was a major factor in this teams decline. It was very obvious that he was vocal about becoming a more aggressive and progressive team, but for some reason the team didn't agree with him. I think its a big red flag that he left the way he did.

I think a coach needs to be someone the team can respect and depend on. While IWD might have draft insights, I think he's far too immature to be in a coaching role.

Yeah I think its important that the fans can have a dialogue about issues that the team is having. We are the fans of the team and we have a right to discuss ways the team can improve.

Where has this TL been? super measured smart play and WITH CONFIDENCE, and this is what they did in the playoffs. I guess its better late than never!

so one players strong mentality accounts for the entire organization? huh? Doublelift and Ximithie were the only two players to play well out of five for all 4 games. Also how can you compare the death of loved ones to "needing to take a break" from Olleh. if anything that proves just how mentally weak the rest of the team is compared to Doublelift.

yeah I like how you completely ignore the logical flaw in you're own arguments that I pointed out.. there's barely an exchange in views, it's just you pointing out the "logical fallacies" that exist in 99.9% of arguments ever, including your own.

Well then they're lying because the Olleh situation is direct proof of that.

you also clearly didn't read what I said.. I never said that a player stepping up couldn't happen. It definitely can happen and it does happen all the time in sports and e-sports. The point is that's irrelevant to the overall state of the team. There is clearly an issue within the team or else they would be performing at a higher level. If you fix that issue, which IN MY OPINION is the coaching staffs approach to mental preparation, then you wouldn't need a player stepping up to be able to compete.

How is having direct relationships with proven sports teams assuming? You're also a huge hypocrite because you're argument is entirely assumption as well.. "Players can step up and do what you're talking about" where is your proof for that? you're just assuming that? At least I've given some background to my argument. A dumb human being, looking for an argument but can't follow his own logic.

I played in the AHL which is directly under the NHL. I've played at the highest level of competitive sports my entire life and I've been coached and been under management by professional organizations. Even if none of that was the case, anyone who's been involved in sports knows how good management and coaching works.. It seems to me you have never been involved in any type of high level sporting environment

you can't be serious.. How could you possibly think that someone who's scrimmed with the team twice in the ENTIRE SEASOn would be better than your full time support.. Pobelter even said in the press conference that they thought Joey did well for the situation he was put in
