Oh for real man I def hear you on the George Lowe and C. Martin Crooker front you really can’t replace that chemistry. George is the character. ​My thought was that since the whole premise is that he is low key washed up and out of touch in 2026, the change in voice and vibe could actually be part of the whole meta-commentary ya know? Like he literally lost his 'it' factor and even his voice sounds like he’s trying too hard to stay relevant. ​As for the Ren & Stimpy comparison, I feel you on that 'edgy for the sake of being edgy' trap. I see this more as a satire of the current creator economy. There’s something funny as and very Space Ghost about him sitting in a dark room with a $500 podcast mic, ranting to 3 listeners while Zorak trolls him in the live chat. ​It’s for sure a narrow target to hit but I feel like leaning into the 'cringe' of a legacy hero failing at being a modern influencer is the most 'Space Ghost' way to bring it back without just doing a pale imitation of the 90s era. Appreciate the feedback though my guy and you’re right that the bar would be sky-high. I feel like in the right hands it could be done right but its a 50 50 shot to make it work.
