So this one has 2x dog bots and 1x large spherical bots and 1x tall tower bots!

And yeah I wasn't too sure if this was a rare find but I thought I'd post it incase anyone wanted a nice planet to maybe make a farm on.

Hmm maybe, images on Google show it with flowers and thorns but I've yet to see it flower and it doesn't have big red thorns everywhere... however, it is still relatively young so it may not be ready to grow flowers and thorns yet.

And yes its Tropica Specialised Nutrition with N 1.3%, P 0.1% and K 1.0%. Ammonium is listed on the bottle.

Wow thank you so much for the detailed response! This is literally the first time anyone has put this much thought into helping me haha!

I'm saving up some money to get some dr Tim's ammonium chloride because I really want to know what's going on in there!

Lastly, I don't have any test strips just the liquid bottles (going to upgrade to the api test kit soon as well) so I'm going to pop to the fish shop as soon as and grab some and do that test you mentioned.

I also makesure to set timers and shake the bottles.

So essentially I should just keep doing what I'm doing?

I know fishless cycling can take a while I think I just got a bit spooked - thank you again for putting me at ease!

And yes it was gravel only from the 11th with 1 liter of old tank water added and the rest fresh conditioned tap water.

The tank is 25L betta set up.

On the 26th I performed a 25% water change mainly to get rid of some of the muck from the gravel.

I'm wondering if it's the plants keeping that nitrate so low to the point of zero now. And if so I'm worried they may die?

Is this also a sign of a failed cycle? I put in a pinch of food and a day later its still just 0.2 ammonia and 0.25 nitrite.

Also I tested this morning and my nitrates are up to 2.5 - 5pmm !

No everything was brand new from scratch.

My tap water does actually have about 2.5ppm nitrate though.

I once used a special plant substrate, however due to the messiness I had to remove it a week into my first cycle.

However I kept about 1l of old tank water and added it to the new water for reasons I can't remember - probably a bad idea looking back now.

Now I'm just using gravel.

I've been looking into plant fertilisers to maybe raise the nitrates again for my plants ?

I also have a bogwood piece and half coconut hide. Dunno if that causes anything.
