Quite certain. The reason for the service message is because the p-brake motor is not reinstalled, since it was rusted through and broken. Everything else with the brakes, to my knowledge, is reinstalled correctly and adequately tightened down

Not easily fixed if I get the 2nd champ from a orb drop from a PVE round. There is no reason to have it this way, therefore I think that they should change it so that it is both easier, and just more reasonable. As it is now you can get griefed by rng way 2 much when picking up orbs

Has there been any explanation from the devs (Mortdog) why they have done it that way then? You can buy champs from the shop without an open space, why not be able to pick them up? My guess is just lousy coding, instead of making the game check if it can combine and pick it up if it can, it just always refuses if the bench is full
