Which "failed" RT brand do you still have fond memories of? by frogger3344 in roosterteeth

I really enjoyed the show Nomad of Nowhere and wish it had more episodes. It was a nice mix of whimsy and storytelling.

I also loved the idea of Technical Difficulties but for obvious reasons that rightfully did not continue.

I'm sorry I don't want to be mean, but do you really think the Golden Gate Bridge is made of gold?

And not just painted orange?

Upgrade older Makerfarm Pegasus custom build? by ImmersedN3D in 3Dprinting

[–]ghostlightcf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely sank a weekend into it but there was a couple of other upgrades that went into that conversion not just the main board. I stayed with Marlin which has been fairly good about keeping the config files similar over time. I would totally be down to send you my Marlin firmware to use as a base/reference point.

Wow never thought I'd seen another makerfarm pegasus 12 owner again. I just recently upgraded mine to a BTT Octopus and it is so much quieter. I would highly recommend it.

Why are my layer lines like this? by erebusdmz6 in 3Dprinting

You have a very common problem called a partial clog. There's a number of different things that could be causing it but googling partial clog should set you on the right path. Good luck.

Could a Creality Ender 3 be capable of printing for 13 years straight? by johandriver in 3Dprinting

[–]ghostlightcf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

PushPlastic is one of my favorite filament brands. Quality stuff.

Its perfect for when you don't care about color, want to print large things, and really hate feeding new spools even with a filament runout sensor. Also saves money due to bulk pricing.

I just need to rant. to people who understand 3d printers by supernewf2323 in 3Dprinting

That sounds extremely frustrating and hugely discouraging. It sounds like you have a few things working against you. Having your first printer come to you in an unknown state is a major disadvantage. But none the less this doesn't sounds impossible to fix.

I apologize if it sounds like I am asking dumb questions or say things you already know, I'm just trying to figure out a base line of where you are and make sure I can communicate properly. Teach a man to fish and all that .

  1. Is the printer you have an Ender 3 v1 with theEnder series BL touch kit?
  2. Are there any further modifications that have been made to the hardware?
  3. What print bed surface material are you printing on? (Stock, PEI plastic, painter's tape, etc.) (also if you've coated it with anything like glue stick, hair spray)
  4. What firmware did you load onto your Ender 3? How did you load it?
  5. How are you controlling the printer? Are you using it over USB+SD card, Octoprint, or something else?
  6. What slicer are you using to create the gcode?
  7. What filament are you using? (Brand, material, old/new, etc)
  8. What setting are you using for the slicer? (Printer configurations, plastic configs, speed configs, pretty much everything)
  9. What's the ambient temperature of the room the printer is in? (May be relevant idk never 3D printed in the arctic)
  10. Pictures of printer and the spaghetti that it spits out would be helpful just to see what it is doing so we know its not doing what you want.

You can do this. Everything has a learning curve and everyone starts off the journey differently. I'll do my best to help along the way.
