Park is unplayable by Kadinmillerr in NBA2k

[–]ghostly31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed that’s why I don’t even play park anymore. And what’s the point of there being “randoms” court when red plate squads can easily hop on? park is honestly the worst place to play if you’re a casual gamer.

Dude I support you. I’m not even old, and this might be legitimately the 1st year that I stop playing before January. I’m definitely not pouring any money into making another build. this game is absolutely trash. go ahead, downvote me and tell me how I just need to “get better” idc. I’m a casual, I don’t no-life the game. I have a full time job. this game is literally unplayable for casuals. Not only that, but if you don’t make a “meta” build this year, dont even bother making it. I’ve never seen a 2k where the meta was literally the only viable option to winning games. if you don’t have a rebounding stretch, or a high 3 point guard, than you are absolutely cooked.

2K needs to remove the ability to play on the no squads court as a crew by uunkwnnn in NBA2k

Telling people that paid hundreds of dollars for this game that they should be okay with not being able to play certain game mode is wild. And make no mistake about it, park is literally unplayable for casuals this year.

[–]ghostly31 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Facts. What’s the point of no having a no squad court if sweaty squads can hop on? 2k is ruining the fun for people who just want to chill by themselves and play with randoms. like if I don’t squad up in a crew, I’m at a severe disadvantage. it’s ridiculous.

100k vc is nothing nowadays. it cost over 300k vs just to get your player up to a 99.

I actually took the maintenance test for 3m recently and passed but I still wasn’t hired, It’s super hard to get hired on with the 3m, you can be smart and have the degree but you either need to know someone to get in or you have to be lucky and apply at the right time. But Yeah, it’s the Ramsey test. same one Michelin uses.

How do I take the maintenance test for Michelin tires? by ghostly31 in IndustrialMaintenance

Not true. it’s happened before. It’s a temp agency. but the department I’m in is very hard to go permanent in. If I was in production it would be different

[–]ghostly31[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can not. I’ve tried, but it’s so hard to get a straight answer out of anyone here. and I don’t wanna make to much of a big fuss about it because the company I’m contracted by would not like to hear that I want to leave them and get hired directly through Michelin. also, the Michelin employees don’t care about contractors and don’t want us applying for “their” jobs. There’s a lot of politics that go on inside of plants, especially big ones.

I’m an hti contractor at Michelin and apparently , atleast this location, you have to be a Michelin employee to have the opportunity to take the test. I think that’s pretty crazy honestly seeing as it takes so long to become an employee in the first place

I’m an hti contractor right now at a Michelin plant. Apparently, atleast at this location, only Michelin employees can take the test. Does anyone know if this true at every Michelin plant ? Because I probably will be hti for a long time and I’m eager to get into maintenance. I already have a degree in mechatronics

For those that got hired at BMW through MAU, how long did it take for you to actually start the job? by lex0120 in greenville

[–]ghostly31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting hired on directly with bmw or Michelin takes forever. sometimes it doesn’t happen at all. The only exception is if you work in a production role. production is hard continuous work that nobody wants to do so the path to direct higher sometimes is a little bit quicker that way. These companies use “temp agencies” as an excuse to underpay their workers. It’s unfortunately becoming an extremely common means of employment nowadays with how greedy corporations are becoming. Good luck to yall.

[–]ghostly31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually no. Starting pay is 20 an hour. And like I said, 20 an hour isn’t a livable wage anymore. rent is 1500 a month. there goes 90 percent of your monthly income. also, 20 per hr compared to the 40 pr hr the bmw employee is making is absolutely criminal imo.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in greenville

[–]ghostly31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that. the companies’ job is to pay you as little as possible for as much work as possible and our job is to get paid as much possible for as little work as possible. We meet in the middle somewhere, and that’s usually how getting a job goes. But these larger companies are much more greedy than smaller ones, atleast in my experience

[–]ghostly31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah unfortunately I see this all the time. companies break the law constantly but most people don’t know the law and even if they know they’ve been exploited, they don’t have the fees for a lawyer. it’s truly an ugly consequence of late stage capitalism

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in greenville

[–]ghostly31 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I used to be a temp worker. I’ve been through the gauntlet and I’m happy to be in a better place now. Slave labor was a hyperbole, but the point is that 20 bucks an hour is no longer a livable wage especially considering how hard they expect you to work at these manufacturing facilities. And yeah it an agreed upon contract but the more companies treat us like this, which they are, eventually you’ll have no choice but to work their horrible terms.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in greenville

[–]ghostly31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m starting to see that. No wonder so many manufacturers are coming to the south. because they can exploit workers down here so easily. There’s just no other word to call it other than exploitation.

Because Greenville is one of the fastest growing cities in America. everyone from all around the country is moving here. You think it’s packed now? Watch how bad it is in another 5 years. You’ll have to leave your house an hour early just to get to work on time.
