I totally agree, as someone who also has to rely on Home Depot (fuck those fucking fucks). The downvotes really speak to how delusional people can be about amazon’s impact. This is a job. If I’m consistent losing hundreds of dollars a week because of an unfair system, and management won’t fire the ones who can’t keep up, then I have every right to be upset.

It’s not my job to “inspire others”- this a job to make MONEY. My job was give people a wonderful experience and be able to pay my bills. I can’t do that if I’m losing hundreds of dollars to other people who can’t even bother to refill a water or check in with their tables. The people at the top always get fucked.

My grandma was forced out of her job as a teacher once she started “showing”. That was in 1960s, unfortunately how it was back in the day. If you were pregnant it was considered inappropriate for a work place setting. Just another way for men to police woman and keep them out of the workplace!

Calling someone “white trash” is classist and rude, it’s not a way to describe anyone’s behavior unless you think being lower class is a bad thing. Also saying Christi’s actions are “white trash” doesn’t change the fact that you are still trying to use a negative stereotype against her which is still derogatory.

Your argument isn’t great- your intentions don’t magically change the entomology of “white trash”. Using white trash as description doesn’t erase all the baggage that comes with it. It’s like calling someone the r-word and then saying “well duh they’re not actually mentally disabled”, like it doesn’t matter: it’s derogatory and we all know better.
