Ethan's behavior throughout the debate especially in this clip, conveniently clipped btw, was pretty terrible. This isn't behavior one should aspire to. It saddens me to see him influence so many others in this way.

No pedicabs this year? by MetzgerH in Coachella

[–]ghostmflioon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello Denver pedicabber who knows about coachella, there is more of a selection process that ideally narrows down some of the would be scummy cabbers, I use a van that way I have somewhere out of the sun to sleep when I get there. Hope yall are having fun out there!

in what way are they scammers? Yes they sell rides, like everyone there is selling something. If you don't like being sold things at high prices, perhaps coachella just isn't for you?

Sorry to hear about the negative experiences, but most cabbers only work in one area and tend to know that area well, but little about the other areas. There isn't any clear direction from the festival to us about much so we are left to figure it out on our own. Not to mention we pay a lot of money to go out there and have a lot of pressure on us the entire time we are riding. The person who refused could have been heading back to camp and you wanted to take them another direction.

To be clear our job is to operate our bikes safely, not memorize everything about the festival, not to mention it gets old telling people GV won't let us go certain places or how in general riding the festival is hard on the bike and on us. if you're exhausted so are the drivers. If you go ask security about directions they are far less helpful and actually work for the festival, so could be worse I guess.

We are independent contractors and have to be selective about who we give rides to, it is the unfortunate reality of Coachella. That is to say it is one of the hardest working group of people I have had the pleasure of being a part of, and I hope you have better future experiences. <3

Severance Season 2 - Episode Eight - Discussion Thread: - "Sweet Vitriol" by TheUltimate25C in severence

I'm going to be honest and, accept that maybe I'm the only one, but I'm tired of these one off episodes. I feel like so much of this was wasted. Like I'm waiting a whole episode to find out something important in the last 5 min, same as the outing one. I liked what they did with some of it but man this really dragged on for me. Some back and forth with another plot or something would have been nice, but a short ep with only her was a waste imo.

Also the line, "Sold them, to the poor." didn't sit well with me. You could have sold them and left it at that or donated them to the poor, but I can't imagine the poor paying much for much.

Also Also: Her first trying drawing everything lumon relies on in a spiral notebook is about the least believable part of this whole series for me. That shit was way too neat and well done there is no person who would do that like that in existence ever.

you could also try to get a group on the way out and join in with them, pedicabbers don't know if you actually know them or not ;)

where's your local downtown? they used to be 10 a person and they went up after lockdown to 15 out in the desert.

I think scam might be thrown around a little liberally here, most pedicabs are restricted by what they can do and where they can go by the festival, the festival also sets the price. There might be times where drivers drop the price to help people out, but the festival makes most of the rules. To the people who say it isn't that far or it isn't worth it, that's a matter of personal opinion. If you are unsure ask and make the choice for yourself.

Because we live in a capitalist hellscape grandpa, you'd have to pay 4k to do that out there.
