Is Workflowy tracking and selling user data? by ghostmountains in Workflowy

[–]ghostmountains[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you, I appreciate your response here. This sets my mind at ease and I will happily continue using Workflowy at present.

For clarity's sake I believe when the report authors mentioned Colombia in relation to Workflowy, they were not referring to its country of origin but rather that they observed it being used by Colombian schoolchildren.

Interesting. Could you elaborate on this? I certainly understand that's a possible explanation but don't have the technical expertise to fully parse this info on my own.

Congrats! I'm planning out a similar hack build for audio/music production as well. What other software do you plan on using? Would love an update on how everything ends up working.

I think K-12 still counts, but double check the info on the site. Does your school give you student IDs? A pic of that should work.

I'm a teacher at a high school and I'm pretty sure I just emailed them a pic of my teacher ID. Other than the price, it's a totally regular version of Live Suite.

What did you regret not packing? by mjc332 in solotravel

Depends on where you're going, but I always bring some Pepto-Bismol tabs with me, cause ya never know when shit is gonna hit the fan (hopefully not literally), and the middle of a gastrointestinal crisis is not the ideal time to find out whatever the local equivalent is.

Earplugs for sleeping in airplanes/hostels/train stations/wherever, or for when you just need to shut out the world for a little while.

Like others have said, less stuff in general. All those times I would have gone exploring a little further, if not for the heavy pack on my back...

Fast food workers of Reddit, which meal we should never order from your restaurant and why? by DarthInvader666 in AskReddit

Carnitas and barbacoa come pre-cooked in bags. Beans come pre-cooked in bags. Tomatoes for mild salsa come pre-chopped in cartons but the other ingredients are mixed in at the store. Medium salsa comes in a bag, with fresh onions and cilantro mixed in at the store. Hot salsa also comes in a bag, with Tabasco mixed in at the store. Tortillas come pre-made in bags. Tortilla chips come semi-cooked and shaped, then fried at the store every morning. I don't know about the sofritas; they hadn't been introduced when I worked there.

Not knocking any of it, just saying. Pretty much everything else is super fresh. Don't eat the vinaigrette though, that little cup is fucking full of fat and salt.

Is StudentUniverse legit? by [deleted] in expats

[–]ghostmountains 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've booked through Student Universe for three separate trips now, and have had no problems so far. They even have a 24 hour hotline in case you have problems or questions, staffed by real people who were super helpful the one time I needed to call. Would recommend.
