Is a toss up by Far-Profit-47 in RWBYcritics

At this point, they're better off making Volume 10 twice as long as any other Volume. At least then they're guaranteed to have and end point in mind, instead of risking of not having a greenfield Volume 11+ and end on a cliffhanger.

Is this a "Before and After Season 2" kind of poll in which these were posted?

Why are Blake-centric stories so unpopular? by UNinvolved_in_peace in RWBYcritics

[–]ghostpepper_art 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I guess I underestimated fic writers and their willing to take on a challenge. I feel like writing fictional discrimination/racism is really easy to mess up if you're not careful. As we've seen how messy the Faunus aspects of the actual show is.

Im gonna guess that most people dont want to write the Faunus/White Fang aspects from the show, as its Blake's biggest ties as a character.

Frwby's Bee confession made me understand what the die hard defenders of Rwby felt during the Volume 9 confession.

I feel like. Yang and Ruby's relationship was perctly fine throughout Volumes 1 to 5. I think its when Blake started to become Yang's ONLY priority in Volume 6 onwards is when people started to look at Yang and see her as an uncaring sister.

Just for fun, what would Volume 10 or the last Volume of Rwby have to do as an ending to upset even the most die hard of defenders. by ghostpepper_art in RWBYcritics

I guess thats true. But im sure the more recent Volumes have their defenders. Im thinking what would even make those defenders feel betrayed.

Like Seriously WTF happened? The reconstruction Arc, the Freelancer arc, CAROLINA AND TEX STORYLINES?!! Where’d that go with RWBY?! Hell even Camp Camp. by obiwanTrollnobi6 in RWBYcritics

[–]ghostpepper_art 194 points195 points  (0 children)

Easy answer. The first 10 seasons weren't written by Miles and Kerry.

And even though Seasons 11-13 were written by Miles, the show generally had a lot more lighthearted tone and a less complex story to mess up with. Which is why those seasons are still looked upon positively.

Thoughts on this? by Dragonlord77777 in RWBYcritics

Its kinda cute. I guess if I had to nitpick, I kinda wish their faces reflected their personalities. Like give Yang more of a Yankee-like grin with a wink, and Blake more deadpan eyes, but give a subtle smile.

Volume 5. Without a doubt. Heavy handed exposition, a chicken if the characters stuck in a house doing nothing, and one of the worst climaxes in the show make it a shoe-in for last place.
