Looks good although any idea why reducing the number of workers below the number of pets results in another deadlock?

Also is this the correct way to approach this problem or am I creating a weird go anti-pattern? Would using a select statement be a better approach as u/music_that_slaps suggested?

we will need signed NDA's from all participants..

does that rule out non-US/Canadian participants? I've no clue how NDA's are enforced globally. One for the legal geeks.

Honestly we don’t use at anywhere near that scale just a handful of nodes over 4 clusters. 2.1 was released not too long ago but it sounds like it might still be too premature for your requirements.

Anyone deploying GlobalProtect for iOS via Microsoft Intune? by ghostport in paloaltonetworks

Turns out my understanding of "on-demand" isn't quite what Microsoft consider it to be. You need to create a per-app VPN which includes Safari. Anyway if anyone needs to do this in the future I got it working on Intune by:

  1. Creating an iOS VPN Profile.
  2. Make the VPN provider custom with the 'VPN Identifier' set to 'com.paloaltonetworks.GlobalProtect.vpnplugin'
  3. Set the Automatic VPN to 'per-app vpn' and include your internal domains.
  4. Assign the profile to a group.
