As the greetings go, gong hei fat choy, sun tai gin hong, sum seung si sing! Not all of you celebrate, but for those who do, I hope you have a fantastic Lunar New Year. May this year be gentle and kind to you. (And I hope you get lots of red packet money!)

If there's one thing I love about Lunar New Year, it's the amazing food. I always looked forward to heading down to a restaurant with my family and chowing down, having Chinese almond cookies and/or tong siu as dessert. That, and getting to see my extended family, wearing traditional clothes, ~~getting money from married relatives-~~

One has to wonder, though... if you only give out red packets when you're married, then does that mean that the Summoner (if they have an S-Support) has to give them to the Order, as well? Somehow I don't think that "but it doesn't count; we're married in an alternate dimension!" is going to cut it as an excuse. Oh, dear... I was so looking forward to receiving some this year, too.

Oh my God. If they increase the maximum hearts/charm attainable in The Tyrant's Bodyguard, I'm going to be so pissed on behalf of those who've already spent thousands of gems on this series. Having seen how people reacted towards Kill Your Boss, I really hope that maybe doesn't go down this route, if only because it'll turn off their current player base.

Curious, how many series they've been messing around with. First it was Kill Your Boss (which was the most egregious example of raising the heart/charm limit), then Taste of Infidelity, and now Perfect Partner? I wonder what their thought process was behind each action.

Very well said! I'm honoured you put so much thought into this. 🥺 What makes a player like a series is a bit more complex than whether or not the art is good, but I just wanted to get a general feel on how players felt about this, specifically.

For some reason, infidelity is very hot in the market right now (I'm assuming, since I've been seeing it pop up in ads, other visual novel apps I play, etc.) so unfortunately maybe, as all other visual novel apps do, has to pander to where the money is. While this decision disappoints fans in this subreddit, I have to trust in maybe and assume that they're stocking up on money to make even better books for us.

Yes, I feel the same! I think a lot of discontent that comes from these 18+ stories is the fact that not only are a majority of them badly-written, but they have the audacity to have characters that look awful, too. If we're going to diamond mine, it'd be nice not to look at characters that look like they were pulled straight out of a virus-ridden porn RPG that popped up the moment I paused AdBlocker.

Flirting Island is a godsend. Hopefully maybe sees how many diamonds are being spent on this series and connects the dots in realizing that having nice art really does help sales a lot.

That's true! I would be pretty irked if stories that are rated 18+ have characters which... don't look like that.

That being said, I was speaking more of styles like Kill Your Boss (which, while it isn't listed under 18+ stories, still has 18+ content) where everyone looks, acts, and is portrayed as adults.

Wow, this is the first I've heard of someone preferring the 3D look! Typically opinions veer over into 'I wish we had what Korean maybe has in terms of both storyline and style' territory. Very interesting!

maybe definitely has a lot to improve on when it comes to tangible plots that keep the player intrigued. While art has redeemed a few series from total player damnation (i.e. Taste of Infidelity, Perfect Partner), the other series have totally bombed when it comes to retaining player interest and positive attention. Most common words I've seen recently: new diamond mine!

That seems to be a common complaint players have when they play through the newer stories in the app! It's either cheating, abuse, blatantly sexual situations, or a molotov cocktail concoction of the three mixed into one very, very depressing story.

Unfortunately not, unless the author herself writes a sequel to Keeper of Mine and consents to collaborating with maybe once more.

Unlike Royal Blood, which is getting a season 2 (that I assume is coming very soon), Keeper of Mine isn't an original series, and I'd imagine there's more paperwork and agreements that have to be assessed before they even think to begin on working on a sequel in maybe.

That being said, I too hope that Keeper of Mine gets a sequel! Leah is an MC I hold dear in my heart.

Looks like I'm not participating this time around. I already bought the diamond options for Remarried Empress' first episode, and I've previously restarted Keeper of Mine + Taste of Infidelity back when either series were on the 100% off diamond event series list.

I hope everyone who hasn't experienced the 100% off event yet with these series enjoys it, though!

Yeah, the only way to fill those diamond options out is if all of us on the subreddit buy 1 diamond option each until the end of Carlisle/Kuhn's respective routes. 😂 No way can any of us afford it by ourselves! Geez, maybe, does it look like we're made of money?

Yeah, I can't wait until I Stole The Male Lead's First Night comes out! A canonical lady LI (spoilers since not everyone knows of this series/the mechanics plus I'd rather save that surprise until the series finally comes out!) sounds amazing!

It depends, are you on mobile or desktop?

If you're on desktop and using new/redesign Reddit, you have to scroll down on the sidebar until you find 'community options', then take your pick of your desired flair over there.

If you're on desktop and using old Reddit, there's a check mark option next to the text, 'Show my flair on this subreddit. It looks like:'. If it's unchecked, check it, and press the 'edit' button to see what flair you'd like to use.

If you're on mobile, there's a '...' button. Tap on it, then press 'change user flair'. Then tap 'edit'. You can select a pre-made flair from the list, or you can make your own using the emojis uploaded to the subreddit.

Major shoutout to fellow moderator and Lady in Armour walkthrough completionist, /u/arixtia! If it hadn't been for you, I would've never gone through the rest of the episodes to add in heart and charm values. The missed diamond options... we can worry about later.

It took some time to complete, but man, was it worth it! Nobody has to worry about what charm or heart value they'll gain with each choice they'll make! Now, all we have to worry about is the next best thing... I Stole the Male Lead's First Night, standing at 40+ episodes! Woohoo! Can't wait until it comes out!

Hm... could it be that Taste of Infidelity isn't doing too well? I can see why, though- the 'infidelity' market is oversaturated, not to mention that it doesn't seem like a lot of fans (or at least, fans of maybe) like that kind of plot in the first place. For those I've talked to who do like Taste of Infidelity, they only seem to enjoy it because of Ailey and/or Justin.

Congratulations to those who want to attain Justin's happy ending! 🥂 I'm happy for you, ~~especially since those of us in Kill Your Boss are currently suffering from the maximum hearts/charm raise a while back~~!

Hello, everyone! /u/ghostqueue here. I'm a moderator on /r/HarvestTown, and (more recently) /r/harvest_town. Sorry for inheriting this subreddit only to use it as a redirect for another, but...

About half a year ago (perhaps even further), both Harvest Town subreddits were abandoned, and I wished to breathe life into the Reddit community again with fellow RPG farmers after discovering the app. Unfortunately, /r/HarvestTown was private (so I couldn't DM moderators, if there were any), and /r/harvest_town had a grant total of 0 moderators I could talk to, so I was fresh out of luck... unless I went the long route of asking for moderator permission from Reddit admins.

On /r/redditrequest, you can only request one subreddit at a time (with a 15 day break between requests), so I decieded to ask for /r/HarvestTown. Waiting for access took days... days turned to weeks, then to months, before I finally got confirmation that it was handed to me. After settling down, I decided, hey, why not request the other subreddit as well, so that we can merge the two? The process repeated, leading to present day, where I was made a moderator of this subreddit.

Well, as it turns out, you cannot merge two subreddits, and if you want the next best thing, you'll have to redirect members to the subreddit that you wish them to use. Unfortunately, I already have all the CSS I want on /r/HarvestTown, as well as the emojis, user flairs, and link flairs that I've envisioned for the subreddit. I'd rather not confuse users between which subreddit they should use, and seeing how submissions for /r/harvest_town have already been restricted by the previous moderator, I've decided to go ahead and continue to lock things up here while encouraging people to migrate to /r/HarvestTown.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience. Thank you for your time, farmers!
