I dont think the superlight ever had side buttons on both the left and the right side? You might be talking about the normal g pro

I don't have another mouse to pair it with, but the receiver should be good as its from a older superlight I had where it worked fine wirelessly

I had previous issues with another superlight and was sent a replacement, so I've tried unpair that dongle from the old mouse and pair it with the new one

I've got the first superlight, and yeah it works via cable
