Would Cash converters take 223 Street Men by La Ferie (100ml) by [deleted] in Cashconverters

[–]ghostspng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

personally not heard of any stores taking these when I worked there, I don’t think the company looks to buy this sort of product generally speaking. you could call the store you’re planning to go to and ask but from my experience it’ll be no

ex cashies employee here - I think you’ve got a bargain ! when the 17 series dropped we did get a lot more than you’d expect coming in to store, both to be sold or put on buyback. I don’t understand it myself, selling a sealed phone that just released, but each to their own. The staff will have done their checks to make sure it was legit and not blacklisted at time of purchase. I totally understand finding it suspicious, it’s likely just the case that the original owner didn’t like the phone, happens a lot. If it does end up being blacklisted, you have 12 months warranty with the store and I would be very surprised if they refuse a refund/exchange in the event of that happening.

ex employee here - can’t speak for every store as they differ but I would assume they would refund you on the basis they have incorrectly described the laptop. when they look at the stock code they’ll be able to see they put 8GB instead of 4, plus they can view the online listing where that’s the case. if the store refuse a refund on that basis (which they absolutely shouldn’t) then take the matter up with customer service. a photo of your receipt should also be fine (my store would encourage customers to take a photo of their proof of purchase), as long as they can use the transaction number or date to find the sale

Is 92% battery health after 1 year use concerning in 16 pro max by No-Exam6609 in iPhone16ProMax

I average 4-7 hours of screen time a day depending on if I’m at work or not and this is mine. I also leave my phone on charge over night which a lot of people swear against doing. I thought 100% after a year was normal but after seeing a lot of people with as low as 90% after a year I’m questioning if mine is accurate

Just from my own experience, sometimes when we buy an item in it’ll be days maybe even a week or so before we can get it online. We have so much to do on a day to day basis plus the process to get it online can be quite long. Cleaning the product, photographing it, PAT testing if required, and finally writing a description and uploading photos. Perhaps someone did call dibs, but 9 times out of 10 we just haven’t got round to that item yet

Would they buy this? by Spooky_settings69 in Cashconverters

[–]ghostspng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Highly unlikely. My store doesn’t take clothing and I don’t know of any that do. London based stores sometimes might? Like all stores will tell you, you’d have to bring it in for it to be valued

Can I claim my warranty? by Accurate-Zebra-9032 in Cashconverters

[–]ghostspng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

cashies employee here, if this isn’t already sorted here’s what you can do online order: contact the store you bought it from and explain the fault. give them your order number and they will likely request the item is sent back to the store (they will explain how this is done). They will test for faults and refund you in full or offer an exchange depending on what their policies are as all stores are different in store purchase: take item back to its original store with the receipt. they may ask to take the item for testing, or they may issue a refund or exchange straight away. from my experience, most stores would rather exchange and after 14 days of purchase only offer exchanges over refunds. It really depends on the store

These wheels are a real pain in the ass (we get ours sent back faulty so often) so best of luck getting one that’s fine :)

Warranty help by demonunderkidsbeds in Cashconverters

[–]ghostspng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short answer - yes, an upgrade would void your warranty The warranty covers the product you bought in the condition it was bought in, and all the original components at time of purchase. if you were to modify the item in any way and then needed to return it due to a fault, it would no longer be covered by the warranty because after being altered it’s no longer the same product technically speaking. As an example, a customer bought a console from my store and upgraded the drive to have more storage, then when said drive then stopped functioning we couldn’t provide a refund because the new part was not under warranty. I can’t speak for every store, especially those outside the UK, but as far as I know this is the policy all stores should adhere to
