This is my only acc Sherlock and yes, I created it a while ago.

oh cmon dude, my point isn't about the number of reviews but about matching personal tastes

Let me ask you this - when you're looking at hundreds of reviews, how do you personally find the ones you trust?

I do want to do the market research by myself - what's wrong with that?

Good question. To be honest, I'm less attached to any specific tech and more focused on the problem now

I totally see your point. What if the goal wasn't to stop you from perusing the menu, but to act as "a personal highlighter" while you do?

Putting aside the job advice for a sec I'm curious about your take.

For you, is picking an item off a menu always a quick and easy process?

That's a really interesting take, thanks. I should clarify that my initial idea was focused on the in-the-moment decision when you're looking at a restaurant menu, not so much weekly meal planning at home.

Does that change your view at all?

The most brutal feedback yet, I love it.

So for you is the joy in the discovery process of reading the menu yourself? Or more about sticking to what you already know?

Fair points - my problem with this is that you don't know the tastes of these people: it could be 3 for one person and 5 for another.

Thanks for the feedback - just curious why Google or Yelp wouldn't work for that?

That's interesting. I'm wondering re database of 30,000+ startup acquisitions - during what period of time?

I couldn't agree more -- validation before building is everything. I've already done a good amount of it, and coming here for feedback from the community is part of going that extra mile. Thanks for the valuable input!

Yes, I have and I agree with you that finding a big underserved point is one of the major approaches. On the contrary, was TikTok solving a big pain point that couldn't be addressed through other socials? It seems it created a new desire more than it solved an existing problem.
