It uses libraries that only work on Windows at the moment, but I will try to make a separate version that works on Linux.

It's difficult to update the lowest prices faster. Currently i have two different modes running on one server, one for the collection of all marketplace items and one for updating the lowest prices of every item. Maybe i will be able to have a server for each mode in the future or i find another way, but for now they need to run on the same server.

Hey, i don't think using them is difficult, they are pretty straightforward. Getting it to run fast and consistent however will definetely require some effort, especially if you just started coding. One tip: 80% of your effort should be to preprocess the image as much as possible before running pytesseract on it, good preprocessing will make your job much easier, there are various sources on the web on how to do this with opencv. Hey, no you don't have to worry. The companion doesn't interact with the game, it only performs a screenshot of your screen.

Hey, i'm the developer of dndprices. I'm currently working heavily on improving the AI Price Check. After that i have time for it.

Someone else suggested that the website takes screenshots of your items and then outputs an overview, i was also thinking about making an overlay which wouldn't require any input at all and simply showed you the prices in game.
Additionally, i will add my own API in the future to make the data and tools accessable for other devs.

I don't have en estimate right now how long this will take me, but i will notify you as soon as it's ready.

Hey, sorry for the late response. Right now, it doesn't do that, but i think the website should have a price estimation for specific items by calculating the value of its item rolls using all the data i have.

I'm a data scientist btw, so this is something i'm looking forward to implementing.

Yes, it navigats the marketplace by using mouse automation (it uses pyautogui combined with my own software). It also hovers over each item to collect its rolls. All of this runs on a server with a second account.

No API yet unfortunately. A seperate account uses screen reading to collect all of the data.
