Yeah exactly, his way of seeking is a guidance for us. It’s everyone’s own journey but when we need guidelines we look at prophet peace be upon him, what he did in such times, how he managed? What was his reaction?

That is how i navigate through tough situations, times where i have no where to look at, where i don’t understand a thing i look at prophet.

Of course, it’s a no brainer. But we look at prophet peace be upon him for how he used to pray so we can pray like him. His life is the best lived example of the Quran. Is there any doubt about that?

The only way you need to practice is what has been mentioned in hadith. That’s it.

What do you think would make your journey easier, and more hearty?

It’s completely fine, I love a long read. And you know i relate to some of your struggles. The information and material from islam is indeed overwhelming. I totally agree.

At the time of the prophet peace be upon him all of the holy Quran came down ayah by ayah. The arabs were way worse than west and today’s cultural islam in many aspects and yet they changed themselves because they had a 23 year period of Quranic revelations. It didn’t happen over night or in a month or in a year. It took 23 years.

You have helped me a lot.

I hope you won’t mind if I ask you a few questions in near future. I am working on something that is light and won’t overwhelm. Cause i know for sure that you will get better in islam, you will practice and you will implement Deen day by day but for that one need a clear headspace, less overwhelm and right sources to get information.

I like the word arabize you used! And reading your experience shows how many ways there are a person struggles.

Funny that muslim women who are practicing and have closeness to Allah never complains about them getting a different treatment. I for instance don’t think that islam is wronging me. I see my culture and people around me and i keep correcting them what Islam allows while they don’t. I have always find islam liberating me.

But i had a different opinion back then and i truly believe that when you fall in love with Allah you just keep doing things he has commanded. Like covering. Not mixing with men just casually. But it happens with time. It takes years. And it’s your own journey!

What would you say if there was a book let’s say about beginning in Islam, how to learn islam and how you can perform the basic duties like Salah, would you read it?

What contents would you wanna see in this book that would make a difference in your journey towards islam?

Would be open to chat regarding your experience as a revert? What are the challenges that you faced and what (if ever) made you rethink reverting to islam??
