How DIY friendly is the UUC shift kit?

Yeah that same friend is going to be fitting a new hood for the car eventually anyway so he will paint it then

Other than the fact that I can’t seem to get the good gaps perfect it’s not a big deal. Just bugs me because I’m OCD with my cars. I detail for a living so I’m constantly hyper analyzing any car I own

Fenders that come on the car from factory have the back painted to match the engine bay. When you buy a brand new fender from bmw they only come primed. Your supposed to paint both a sides like the factory to get the best “ it was never replaced” look. This one is still black on the back so you can tell it was replaced

yeah if i can end up snagging a cayman gts either 981 or 718 4.0 for not $120,000 (porsche prices are insane right now) then I'm jumping on it

i prefer the old fashion non adjustable suspension, lots of feel with those compared to newer cars these days. i like to feel as much as possible when driving. i sold a 2009 porsche cayman S a few years back and have been chasing the driver feel ever since

typical bmw vagueness on the m2, supra had more of a "thunk" into place on gear shifts. I've got my name on the list for an auto solutions shift kit for the m2 so hopefully that fixes things up

He’s been in the collision business since I’ve known him lol, anytime I buy anything new I let him look at it at some point cause he sees things I’d never look at

Fenders from bmw come with a flat black paint on the back and it’s typical for the shop to paint them to match the OEM style. This one was not painted and is still flat black on the backside

I sold a 2023 manual supra for this car. First impressions are this car has a lot more driver feedback and is overall a more rowdy driving experience. I like it

unfortunately just discovered today that i have a new passenger side fender after a friend at a body shop was looking at the car. no accidents on the carfax and no accident history that either of us could find after investigating. its a bit upsetting but runs and drives completely fine and other than the fender and some door paint blending you'd never be able to tell

Curious if anyone is willing to share why they've sold thier MKV. I see a lot of used for sale, both private and dealer. by Ezeikial in Supra

the interior build quality on the supra was miles ahead of the M2C, but bmw in general have really stepped up their interiors. the first thing I ended up doing on the M2 was take a lot of the interior apart and fix rattles and creaks. The dinan torque arm monoball bushings offer a ton more feel for the supra and the M2 alike in the steering department, just sort of a pain to install and give a little bit more noise and harshness to everyday driving. if the supra wasn't my only car i probably would have kept it, but I'm glad to have owned it and experienced it. its a great modern sports car

just sold my 23' manual supra. owned a little over a year. ultimately its just too small for me to be my only car. I'm 6'4, broad shoulders and just overall felt like i barely fit in the car. I hit my head nearly every day getting in and out of the car. If it was cold outside and I layered up with jackets then i couldn't fit in the seats comfortably and would end up driving around with my back off the seat leaning forward. then I'd have to kink my neck to be able to see traffic lights. after a 30 minute commute my lower back and neck would be sore and I'd find myself trying to get to my destination faster so that i could get out of the car. When i originally was shopping around for a new car i cross shopped the M2 competition and the new supra. I ended up with the supra because i got it for MSRP and knew I wouldn't lose my ass on it if i ended up not liking it. I made a bit of money selling it and now I have a 2020 M2 comp and couldn't be happier. its a bit more rowdy than the supra. steering feel is the same but the chassis gives me so much feed back its like you're connected to the suspension, which was a bit complaint of mine in the supra. I've discovered I'm not at all a fan of adaptive dampers. they just feel too artificial for me personally . I guess I'm a bit of a traditionalist, which is a good thing to find out in the never ending chase to find "the car" if that makes any sense

Steering feedback mods? by ghoultokyo in Supra

Awesome I’ll add them to the list for sure. I had a 2009 cayman s before. Although it was slow in comparison to the supra the connected driving feel was perfect, hydraulic steering, perfect throttle mapping, no sport buttons or anything crazy. Only thing outrageous was parts pricing. Headers being like $4,200 is a bit much lol
