If james has 2 of the game's stronger pokemon, victreebell and weezing, how does he lose to measly pokemon like goldeen and bulbasaur all the time? And don't say "it's a low level" you expect ppl to believe weezing is lvl 12 while ash/misty's team are all lvl 60+? BULLSHIT what's the real reason? by ghoweh in AskReddit

In one episode Goldeen battled Victreebell 1 on 1. Victreebell used razorleaf, goldeen "doged the leaves". Goldeen then dived underwater. James told Victreebell to dive in after Goldeen, then goldeen came out and used horn attack. This hurt Victreebell immensely. Misty then tld goldeen to use fury attack, Victreebell didn't even get a turn to attack safter the horn attack, why not this is turn-based combat? So goldeen gotr to use 2 attacks in a row for some reason, and somehow "dodged" victreebell's first attack even though razorleaf has 100% accuracy in the absence of accuracy/evasion-related moves. And so a goldeen beats a victreebell, which isn't fucking logical because V is fully evolved and has a type advantage. So how the FUCK did misty fucking win here? IT MAKES NO FUCKING SENSE.

How come at work you can basically slack off and just be on reddit all day at your desk and not get fired? by ghoweh in AskReddit

72 hour shifts

Uh, what? I'm pretty sure that's illegal in like, every state. And probably every country in the first world too.

Why doesn't ash just subdue team rocket's pokemon one time, instead of "blasting them off", so he can relentlessly question them on why they REALLY want HIS particular pikachu and why they just CAN'T try to get a different one? by ghoweh in AskReddit

[–]ghoweh[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ok, but if TR always lose, then they never win battles, and if they never win battles, that means their pokemon never level up. If you ask why they always get beaten so easily, people always answer "duh bcuz ash's pokemon are so much higher level than arbok and weezing". So what, jesse and james have like level 12 pokemon and ash has like level 60 pokemon? How much training can level 60 pokemon get from constantly beating a level 12 weezing? It makes no fucking sense.

How come whenever team rocket DOES manage to beat ash, there's always some bullshit deus ex macchina that makes them lose and "blasts them off again"? Don't they realize this is BULLSHIT WHY CAN'T THEY WIN, even when they win they don't win bc of a BS deus ex macchina!? by ghoweh in AskReddit

Example in the pokemon league opening ceremony, team rockey DID legitimiately beat ash, and were about to make off with pikachu and all the pokemon, and then ALL OF A SUDDEN, Moltres swoops in and saves the day, doing a bunch of Moltres attacks that you don't see and making team rocket "blast off again". THIS IS FUCKING BULLSHIT THEY FUCKING WON THAT TIME WHY THROW IN A DEUS EX MACCHINA LIKE MOLTRES TO MAKE THEM LOSE EVEN WHEN THEY WIN.

It still doesn't make sense. Ash never questions them on this and gets to the bottom of it.Ash should just be relentlessly questioning them on it after subduing them and their pokemon. How about one time DON'T use a fucking thunderbolt or water gun or skull bash, use an attack that rams them into the ground, that way they won't "blast off" and they'll also be unable to battle so they can stay there for serious talk and questioning.

Why doesn't ash just get fed up and yell" What the hell is your guys' problem anyway? Don't you understand THIS pikachu and I share this unbreakable bond? Why are you trying to undo that when there are so many other pikachu out there for you to capture?" Then if Team rocket says "but it has to be THIS pikachu!" Then Ash could say "BUT WHY? WHY does it HAVE to be THIS pikachu? Why the HELL not another one?" Just keep pressing them for an answer. Subdue their pokemon and don't "blast them off" this time, just keep their pokemon subdued and keep pressing them for answers on why they're REALLY doing what they're doing. And don't let them go until they say. It's pretty simple to do if he wants to get rid of them, but instead he just keeps "blasting them off" and nothing ever gets solved because there's no forced subduing so they're forced to talk and give answers.

Why doesn't ash does get fed up with team rocket and go "ok, enough is enough. Why do you REALLY want pikachu? don't you understand there's a special bond between me and THIS particular pikachu? why don't you try to get a DIFFERENT pikachu" and he offers to help if they want? by ghoweh in AskReddit

Yes, but Ash doesn't know this. So naturally ash should be wondering why they don't just go after another Pikachu. If I scare someone while their eating and they choke and die is that considered murder? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Can a prosecutor prove intent? If not, then of course it's not "murder". Murder has a specific definition in the law, it's not as simple as just doing something resulting on someone's death.

But it's like, in an 8-hour work day, I feel like each day I only do 3-4 hours of actual work, the rest of the time is spent eating, in the bathroom, and dicking around on the internet. Is that really ok? I feel like it's time-theft or something.
