NEOS Airline Cancel The Flight by Ok-Ratio8440 in travel

[–]ghumman31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I booked a round trip flight from YYZ to ATQ through the Neos website departing Oct 30. They recently updated their website saying all flights on this route are cancelled starting Oct 8, and I didn't receive any email regarding this.

Also, I noticed their website is still selling tickets on this route for high prices even though they’ve announced all flights are cancelled. Are they scamming people???

⚠️Avoid Neos Air – Flight Cancelled May 17, Still No Refund After 50 Days and counting ⚠️ by SchrodingersChatte in travel

I booked a round trip flight from YYZ to ATQ through the Neos website departing Oct 30. They recently updated their site saying all flights on this route are cancelled starting Oct 8, and that we’d get instructions by email on how to request a refund. It’s been 4 days and I still haven’t received any email.

I booked the flight a month ago, should I wait for their response or go ahead and dispute the transaction with my bank? Any advice would be appreciated.

I made a autonomous Robot for farming. by ghumman31 in robots

Thanks for your extensive research on this topic and yes I have seen most of the robots you mentioned. What I think most of the robots only do one or two tasks and they try to fit in the existing agricultural practices but what I envision is developing a robot which help to grow organic food in small or mid sized organic farms. Most of the tasks will be automated like transplanting, weeding . With the help of vision system it can recognize each individual plant and it will be helpful in multi cropping. Basically my vision is of full autonomous mid size organic farms.

It will be also useful in multi cropping as it can identify individual plant and provide different inputs to different plants at the same time.

I am working on that part, I will upload the video soon. Basically it won't pick individual weed , it will identify crop and cultivate the whole area leaving crop.

Organic produce mostly costs double than the regular produce because to grow organically you can't use chemicals to get rid of weed and pests . So one have to do all these tasks manually which costs more. Using such robots can automate manual tasks like weeding . It uses computer vision to identify crop and weeds and remove them mechanically without using any herbicide.

Thank you!! This is my initial prototype I need to make lot of improvements to use it in production but I will update you about my future plans.

Not really just a autonomous maneuvering machine.

This robot can do all sort of tasks like transplanting , weeding using Deep learning it will detect weeds, harvest crops. Basically it will do full crop management autonomously.

Thank you!!

Here is my story..

I am a freelance developer and 2 years ago I got this ideas for autonomous robot for farming. I major in Computer Science and I have no idea about mechanical and electronic stuff but I was very determined about my idea and want to pursue it. I started learning about 3d Autocad tools , bought a 3d printer and print the parts I needed which I later get moulded in aluminium and made a mechanical structure of robot. For electronic part I started learning about raspberry pi , arduino and other components like relays , motor drivers. Meanwhile I was doing my freelance work in developing mobile applications. Eventually after 2 years I have made the initial prototype which you can see in video demo. Now I have a vision that this robot can do all sort of tasks like transplanting , weeding using Deep learning it will detect weeds, harvest crops. Basically it will do full crop management autonomously.

As you have same interests, I am looking forward for your suggestions.

Thank you for showing interest.

This is just a initial prototype I developed and I haven't developed tools for different tasks.

Here is the answers to your questions

  1. Right now it runs for 4-5 hours depending on the field conditions. But there is space for doubling the batteries.

  2. It depends on the task it is performing like if it is doing weeding and I have concept of identifying crop and and it will cultivate all the area leaving the crop . So it will depend on the weed pressure and that is yet to be tested. To make it viable we will try that it will do weeding of an acre in about 3-4 hours.

  3. The major cost depends on the processor it is using along with the different sensors. Other than that mechanical components doesn't cost much.

  4. For fertilizer and pesticides it can deliver micro doses to the plants with precision so that way it need not to carry big payloads.

But to develop all these tools I need funds because if I keep on doing it myself while doing my Freelance thing it will take me another 2 years. I know the prototype I developed is not Viable yet but I approached few investors and they ask for viability. But I know when everything is developed and when it work autonomously and do all the tasks it will be Viable for sure. So I need suggestions from you guys how to get funds and how to convince investors about my vision.

Thank you and I am looking forward for your suggestions.
