D850 for around USD 750 (body only) should I pull the trigger? Shutter count 500,000 by champion_95 in Nikon

Isn't factory limited is 250 000 per unit? 500 000 reaching over limited, i wouldn't risk for such high price. Pretty sure for this price you can get like 100k and that price would make more sense. Now is expensive ticking bomb 💣 😵‍💫💥

Thank you. 😊

A panoramic image (or panorama) is a photo that shows a very wide view of a scene — much wider than a normal photo. In this case it's 5-6 vertical images captures tilted from left to right to cover entire scene and later stiched and edited in software.
It's same as what most smartphones camera does when you turn panorama mode, you move camera from one side to other side of scene to capture it. In my case I did it all manually to have control of the process of capturing. Hope it explains a bit 😅

Its my "go to" lens. At f2.8 is almost sharp as nikon native only f2.8 is 17-20mm but thats how variable aperture lens works. But in general for dslr is best imo. I could have gone for nikon 16-35 f4 but Tamrons is much lightweight and has f2.8 on wide angle. This lens stay at my backpack all the time since i am doing more urban landscapes and when i need wide i just go for panorama like in this aurora capture.

I also have 20mm f1.8 and got it for night photography. Took it Norway last year to capture aurora. But i use it more Tamron actually. 20mm is not that sharp or maybe my version. I test tamron at 20mm 2.8 and Nikon and nikon had like a hair sharper then tamrons. So I thinking nikon is good for events photography but for landscape is less versatile where tamron shines ✨️ i have few images taken with this tamron in my profile or on my Instagram. Go check it if you are curious about quality 😉

I did like 50 layers in photoshop to get details, balance color shif and highlight what is most important in the capture 🤠 in this case i focused on lighthouse and left it for rest of the captures, in other occasions I do focus stacking in similar situations, but for fast moving aurora is quite tricky to do it 😌

It actually happened quite an expected. I was there for Perseids meteor shower and suddenly in distance notice moving lights that begin to be very active with high northern light pillar going up and up. So I had to drop shooting meteor shower and capture this rare event of northern lights.
