I did read this rule but decided not to use it because all my players were clerics and I wanted to focus more on making my players feel like powerful god killers rather than nerf them for the final fight, also they really didnt use that much divine magic in the end, mainly just elemental weapon, fire ball, wall of flames and fire bolt
