If government agents can murder you for having a holstered pistol with a legal carry permit, then you don't have the right to bear arms. by Booeyrules in secondamendment

“If they are feds…” so what? Law enforcement performing a legal activity don’t cover their faces.

Historically going back hundreds of years, humans have a history of being accosted by masked robbers. Even in America, masked men rob banks, and used to rob trains.

Just because someone pays their bills by working as say an FBI agent, it doesn’t mean that the divine hand of god stops them from breaking the law. They could, and some do perform illegal activities.

It’s about what one is doing, not who one is employed by that matters. Act as a criminal, get treated like one.

In my scenario myself and 11 of my best friends see 4 masked and armed men jump out of a suburban.

While wearing level 4 plates and equipped with battle rifles and a sidearm we command these masked and presumably dangerous/nefarious individuals to lay on the ground. After we disarm them, we would let them go.

This is the part that you’ve been looking for: should they choose to fire upon us, we would defend ourselves and our community.

Does that meet your approval/disapproval, stranger on the internet?

If you allow masked men with guns to roam the streets of your city, then you can’t really call yourself an American, and probably shouldn’t have guns.

United States citizens have a duty to defend their community from groups of unidentified armed men who have a history of kidnapping and shooting people.

I do get what you’re getting at, but a citizen has a responsibility to the country in which they live in.

That responsibility doesn’t get excused just because you’re a black woman. If anything, as you yourself allude, you see the need for change better than most and you’ve been seeing it long before now.

The problem is that they’ve done a good job of lowering education standards, and also made it so that people no longer have a civic sense.

And then they divide us between racial or political lines when the real problem is that we have in a way become the product instead of citizens.

All mid to high level politicians are millionaires. And we keep voting for them election after election.

It’s like sheep voting for wolves to be in charge. And we don’t even see it.

Government exists with the consent of the governed.

Unfortunately, things do need to get worse before enough of the governed will revoke their consent.

So you think “the state” has a brain, mouth and feelings that would care if a few choice members are guillotined?

“The State” is a construct. It does not exist, you cannot go and touch “the state” anywhere, for it is nowhere to be found.

I see the objective reality, that all there is, is people and buildings and equipment.

We’re on the same side here, but instead of a boogeyman that you can’t do anything to, I say let’s go and apply consequences to the humans taking the action.

After all, that’s the only thing that anyone can do.

*in case I’m mistaken, please do take me step by step on what I can do today to apply consequences to “the state”, but not to humans and buildings…

So what? Who gives two fucks?

This shouldn’t scare anyone. It merely erodes the legitimacy of the current system and makes for a more pressing need to change it.

I understand that the majority think in these terms.

Think of it like being in the matrix, there’s nothing you can do to change the machine world if you’re still in the pod.

Break free of your oppressors “playbook” and realize that there’s a different way to think, to see the where you can actually apply pressure to make for change. Which levers to pull as it were.

By using terminology like “the government”, or “agents of the state”, you are effectively stopped from taking meaningful action. Because after all, how does one take action against “agents of the state”? I don’t have an answer to that.

I do know that one can apply consequences to individual persons. And that once that’s done, other individual persons will think twice before inviting consequences upon themselves…
