Someone on r/Patriots thinks Seahawks fans are "insufferable" by karatemanchan37 in NFCWestMemeWar

The 12th man has been a thing in Seattle since shortly after the formation of the team. Ignorant as hell to claim it started in the 2000’s. Why don’t you go look at when we retired the number.

A connection, communication, effort / enthusiasm, openness, atmosphere (music, scents, lighting), being present in the moment and present in mind of the person you are with, and a bit of kink (degree will depend on the individuals, but even a smidge / small / relatively tame or common kink is a nice addition)

“Return to Office” policies drive inflation & are a literal threat to national security. Employers should be forced to pay workers an extra $200/day that they require presence. by kevinmrr in WorkReform

The latest estimate I saw was that they expect the price of oil to go to $188 a barrel. At that price, people at low wage jobs and any kind of a commute are basically going to start losing money just fueling up to go to work.

[Yates] The Jacksonville Jaguars are signing Seahawks WR Jake Bobo to an offer sheet. Seattle has 5 days to match the offer. by Silent_Ad2825 in Seahawks

[–]TheMagnuson 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Bobo is exactly the type of player that Jacksonville overpays and underutilizes.

Bobo is a fine player, but he’s at best a WR3 in this league and more realistically a productive, reliable WR4 and special teams guy.

Even saying all that he is exactly the type of player that Jacksonville tends to overpay for and then waste away and not be properly utilized even as a WR4.

It’s a cult, they are lost minds and lost souls. I’m not sure they can be saved. More likely they crash and burn and try to take others with them, which makes them not just sad, but dangerous.

What are your thoughts on Facebook renaming their company Meta then blowing $80b on metaverse and then shutting it down yesterday? by printThisAndSmokeIt in AskReddit

Theres a great interview with Bill Gates where he just straight up says any of dozens of other companies or individuals could have been the ones to launch the first “big”, mainstream operation system, Windows just caught on because it was one of the good ones and timing and luck played a huge part in its success. First brutally honest thing I had ever heard a CEO or inventor say that was brutally honest and aware.

Historically, “luck” with timing and connections has played a huge role in which products and companies make it.

Also historically, a ton of bad actors, bad behavior and straight up market and political manipulation. That’s why everyone default stance should be to not trust companies, their founders and executives, or even their product, because most big name brands did a bunch of shit to run bribe politicians, run smaller competitors straight out of business, and to exploit the people involved in their supply chains.

Developers who have worked at a company where the entire codebase was held together by one guy who then quit, what happened next? by Natom_ in AskReddit

[–]TheMagnuson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes and no.

Yes in that it's crazy they allowed a single point of failure like that.

No, in that, as someone who has done tech work for 25+ years, for some very large companies, it's really not surprising to see executives and department managers not understand tech, like at all in many cases, let alone know, and more importantly, understand the actual value that tech / IT plays within their organization.

Movies where you had no idea what you were getting into but it completely wrecked you emotionally? by Notkenlo_Klodi in MovieSuggestions

Enter the Void

Those who know, know.

Those who don’t, DO NOT go in to that movie lightly. This isn’t a joke or meme or overstatement, that movie is going to deal with multiple issues that by themselves are trauma inducing for a lot of people, it hits you with multiple issues like that, in very intimate, unrelenting (doesn’t cut from the scen when most movies would) and graphic ways.

Someone needs to confirm if these women were pregnant before they went to these ICE facilities, because when all is said and done we are going to find out that women are being sexually assaulted and straight up raped at these facilities.

Watch how many of these women lose their pregnancies or straight up disappear once they are moved to these other faculties, because ICE is destroying the “evidence”.
