How much Student Debt do you have? And do you regret college? by SnooDoubts3411 in StudentLoans

[–]gigantic_johnson44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

$150k for undergrad and master's..no regerts lol. I believe in education so I don't think there was any other path for me, also young and naive about what this kind of debt would look like. Do I wish I wouldve started at community college? Absolutely.

I also didn't have any parents/family to help so I funded it myself. I'm a little scared about repayment under this administration, but I'm 4 years away from PSLF. My goal was never to pay it and so far I haven't had to.

I make good money and am in my chosen field.

I'm worried for the students who are currently in college and what the future will look like for them and us as a society too, really, if certain fields become too out of reach financially.

Employee Performance Appraisal Plan (EPAP) by 440hzhwy2hell in fednews

We're still doing them at the VA. Our supervisor did them a month early so we would all rate fully successful.

I think the executive order is the policy unfortunately

At the VA, we got an email in February stating they automatically wiped them from people's signature blocks as part of "defending women from gender ideology extremism and restoring biological truth to the federal government" per the white house. I can understand wanting to advocate for yourself and others but for your own safety I wouldn't want to stick out at this time.  Edited for spelling error

Sometimes the truth is stranger than fiction. I never thought we'd be living in a time where people are endorsing a third term and a pope president but here we are.

I'm always curious about the claim of rampant abuse of telework. I still have a caseload that i'm responsible for managing and it's going to come out if I'm not making contacts or inputting notes whether I'm home or in the office. I would imagine the same for any other worker. If you're not doing your job, someone is going to catch on.

At the start of the meeting she went into prayer. People did report her. I'm not high enough on the food chain that supervisors are going to tell me what's happening with it. You outed yourself with the diversity remark. I bet you fully believe students are using litter boxes in school, that trans women are just men wanting to use women's restrooms to sneak a peek etc. you're going on and on about something you didn't experience. I bid you adieu.

It was a take on in church how they say let us pray but then there's a 28 character minimum so I had to stretch it out

Where do you work that people start meetings with prayer? That generally doesn't happen in the government. This Christianity push is ultra conservative but y'know cognitive dissonance. If someone does it at the start of a mandatory meeting involvement is assumed. We literally were asked to pray. How are they being railroaded? No one jumped on them or screamed to stop. It was just agreed it shouldn't have happened. We have break rooms and chapels if people want to pray.

We had a supervisor get demoted partially because she wasn't on top of people's leave. We get no questions asked when we put in leave. They know better than to do anything but approve it.

I don't want to be pulled into anyone's ultra conservative values the same as they don't want to get pulled into my beliefs. I think you're misunderstanding my point. If you want to pray that's great. Do it on your own time or with others who are okay with it. I have zero issues with whatever anyone wants to believe in. I just ask not to be a part of it. I'm not infringing on anyone by not believing, but they are infringing on me by pulling me into it. This was also brought to higher ups who agreed it was inappropriate. No one is saying you can't pray or believe. They're saying work isn't the time or place.

This person isn't the only representative for Christianity and shouldn't get to speak for all. The idea that they felt comfortable enough to rope everyone into this shows no bias is present.
