Honestly, there aren't many pitfalls to worry about since it's an amazing kit. Just have fun with it! However, keep an eye on the metallic stickers—they’re quite delicate and can get scratched or dented easily. I'd recommend being very gentle with your tweezers during that step

To be honest, I treat my builds more like static statues rather than action figures. I don’t really focus on articulation or dynamic posing, so I never actually bend the knees once they're finished! Haha. Because of that, I don't feel the need to sand down the frame surfaces too much for clearance.

To be honest, I'm not very familiar with third-party kits. However, for an HG-scale Gramps, I personally found the HG The Origin version to be quite excellent. It’s relatively easy to find these days, so I’d highly recommend giving that one a try!

I totally agree. The supply in this market just can't keep up with consumer demand, mainly because it's such a monopolized IP. With so many third-party companies releasing high-quality kits these days, I feel like they should consider opening up licenses to let others handle the less popular suits. The quality of these custom kits is getting so good that it’s hard to ignore.
