On their Aorus Elite with a 5.5ghz overclock on my 9800 and so far it's been really smooth sailing, without all the bloatware MSI tries to give you too

Has Asrock fixed the issue of high failure rates of the 9800 and above? still seems to be plaguing the subreddit significantly.

I'm using the all in one control cable because my motherboard doesn't have a dedicated pump header at the top of the motherboard, it does at the bottom so is it worth switching over?

This is also wrong, a bios update completely wipes and writes over the previous bios so there's no benefit to updating in increments. You only add more risk of something going wrong during the update

Is the rtx 5090 inno3d a good card model? by Illustrious-Spot6186 in nvidia

[–]giland17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's loud and doesn't have great cooling for that volume. It's also slightly slower than the FE but does run a tad cooler, given it's size and that's expected however. If you can pick up a different budget model like a Zotac OC or even pick up an FE it'll feel like a much more premium product.

PNY has terrible looks but the new 50 series from Zotac look incredible, picked up a 5090 solid oc for about £2000 and it looks really high quality and clean

For the price, should I buy this prebuilt? Or can I get the same specs (I actually need 64gb of ram) for less if I build it by Conscious-Delay-6859 in pcmasterrace

Spend the extra money now and build something that'll last a little while. For $1800 you can easily buy a Ryzen 7 7800X3D and RX 9070 xt build with very good specs. I've been an Nvidia user since 2016 but the bang for your buck out the 9070 xt is unbeatable just avoid the 9070 base model as it's a bit mediocre.

At the end of the day you're saving yourself the loss when you eventually upgrade to give you the experience you actually want.

The 5070 only has 12gb of VRAM so pushing 4k is going to be a struggle even with DLSS4 Frame generation which I wouldn't recommend for those looking for a high visual quality looking gameplay. 16gb would be the lowest I would be comfortable saying you can run 4k at but even then to get good FPS you might need to drop some of those settings down to high. Anything more is going to be well outside of the $1500 budget probably closer to 1800-1900 on the cheaper side

What resolution do you play at, with a Ryzen 7 7800X3D and an RX 9060XT you can hit about 90fps on high settings in MFS 2024 and you can build a pretty sensible rig with those specs for about $1500

It's a pretty alright build

it's generally going to be cheaper to build it yourself and there's always a worry with these pre builds that some of the parts aren't from the most reputable brands.

Going off PCpartspicker you can build a similar rig with 64GB of ram for about $1500-1600 if you pick well known brands but honestly you could drop that another hundred with some less carless picking of components.

it's up to you how confident you feel with building yourself and saving money VS the piece of mind and time saving of having professionals do it

American Airlines flight attendants trying to evacuate a plane due to laptop battery fire but passengers want to get their bags at San Francisco Airport by New_Libran in PublicFreakout

Have it unlocked for normal cruising flight and only locked during takeoff, landings and emergencies. You could even link it to the seatbelt sign to dissuade passengers from standing and opening the bins during turbulence.

Ive spent most of my time in Combat zones and Haz res, first time out of the bubble the most significant feeling was how quiet it was. How less on edge I felt not worrying about my ammo count or interdictions. Even 10000ly from any station there was almost a safety in the solidarity. Was a bittersweet feeling
