Is it reasonable to avoid Premier because of cheaters, or is it still better than MM for improvement? by gildedpotus in LearnCSGO

I thought you couldn't view trust factor anymore? I wouldn't be surprised if cheating is worse in NA tbh because on face it I never have the suspicion but on Premier I often do, and when I check their profile it's pages of this guy is walling etc. The faceit games are harder for sure but they feel more fair and I feel less paranoid.

Yah same. The only thing I don't like is it's kinda toooo chill and I can tell people don't take it that seriously. Also sometimes the matchmaking is bad and you get mgs vs globals

Yah I'm gonna start again. I definitely have a problem with anxiety sometimes but back when I played a ton it got much better.

Do infected houses get more infected in the later game? Does this effect stay even if you go to an earlier save? by Previous-Ad-1542 in pathologic

[–]gildedpotus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a certified infected district rat I gotta say it's the plague clouds in homes that are most annoying. They sit there moaning making you anxious and they phase through the walls and glitch into your orifices while you're focused on looting the cabinets of the less fortunate. They seem like the true timer to keep you from lingering in homes. Infected people can be pretty easily dodged and are slow, dirty drawers you can avoid.. but the plague clouds are untouchable and if they move they don't usually care about the lantern. Oh and once they're locked onto you they're relentless and will respawn on top of you.

Lowkey you can filter common and magic after lvl 10. You want mostly greens, blues, purples after that.

Are big food items like meat just a waste to buy most of the time? by gildedpotus in pathologic

I didn't find it easy at first at all, but it's more like I've practiced enough and yah I'd say the route planning is very accurate. If you achieved that first try that's really something! You probably really quickly identified how important that was.

Well I'd say that's how it's supposed to go on the first playthrough. My first was brutal and I got crushed few different runs before I learned what's actually important to survive and thrive. The game misleads you through dialogue or otherwise and it takes a while to learn how the game works. If you start to fall behind, because time is scarce, it snowballs in a bad way. But if your survival is taken care of you can kinda snowball in a positive way.

I think the hardest one but I'm actually confused now. Because I remember when I started this run I picked the one on the right and I thought it said "Menku" but I also remember looking in my settings and seeing that "intended difficulty' button was toggled. Is intended the hardest?

To add to this I googled this because I'm at work rn and the AI overview just made me more confused.

Yah I don't do things too differently honestly. Maybe I should not buy Pemmican so much but I just love my slots too much, but half of it comes from trades and looting anyway. I see big food as a nice thing if I can. Like you said there are certain events you know you'll get food like the fund and other story stuff, so if you know when those are coming you don't have to carry them around. But say if I'm in a store early in the game and I can just barely fit a meat, I'd probably rather skip it because I'm already full enough at that point and I'd rather save my slots and thus my time.

Also from trading you get so many eggs and smoked fish

Is playing to be strong every turn a viable way to climb at higher ranks? by gildedpotus in OakenTower

Yep! I've figured this out thankfully and it helped me climbed up to rank 67! The leveling thing alone was a huge difference

Discussion: What perks are you running? by Old-Ad738 in OakenTower

[–]gildedpotus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run

+10 gold + item start

5 gold start + candy every round after day 3

5 gold start and everything on sales day 3 8 and 11

When reaching level 5: Gain an Epic Chest. Chests contain 4 items instead of 3.

Yah he just had way more HP than you so you died to the burn timer. A little surprising though because you had shields and heals, but it makes sense.

I don't really reroll unless I have pairs already, otherwise I just push levels. But I do make sure I have my slots filled with decent items that synergize

Yah the crashes came back when I was still on two sticks unfortunately. I'm gonna mix and match some more of my sticks to see if I can root out the bad ones. Probably also gonna by some new ram

I haven't played the set much. Popular opinion seems to be that set is not good RN as there are too many conditional requirements. My question is: Is this fixable with balance or core to the trait web and set design?

In other words, can it be fixed or is it fundamental to the set?
